I remember seeing Maynard at the HM. He did a great job in the streching room. He then followed us out and gave us a tour of the portraits. There were only about eight of us at the time.

At the Tiki room, he told us all about the Land of Fill. Lots of fun.

I'm glad you had a great time. I've never done the Mansion more than twice in a row. I'll have to try that some night.

Star Trek:tmp is up high on my favorites list. I prefer star trek 2 & 6 more. What makes it cool is that v'ger was sent by the Borg and was responsible for theway they were. At least in a story I read once.

It's incredibly underrated or over-bashed? Or both. Everyone says it's boring and I'm just floored the entire time. Even its haters have to admit the first hour is solid with the introduction of all the characters, the refit Enterprise, getting underway, the tension between Kirk and Decker, those incredible special effects (that I think blow away the original Star Wars, to be honest) and Jerry Goldsmith's amazing score. It's really the closest the movies got to the TV show.

Of course I admit that. If it's any consolation, I miss the Fantasyland dark rides, Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. I'll have to explore more of the park next time! Maybe with @raven24 !

It was that way the last time I rode it, which was in June of last year.

Some HM cast members close the doors, some don't.

I guess that's good to hear. I haven't had the door shut behind me in well over 10 years. Several times I've reached that door to see the stretching room doors opening or already open.

I suppose we should count our blessings. I've heard that sometimes folks in Florida end up walking straight through their stretching rooms. At least our physical setup makes that an impossibility.

I've heard of that happening at WDW as well. Ridiculous! Their setup is screwy where I rarely get the foyer spiel and transformation of the portrait unless I ask to remain to experience them. Then, you're constantly dumped out into a hallway packed full of people after the stretching rooms.

Wait, so you got to see what's between the unloading and loading area ?

Yes! It's just unthemed backstage area, but then you descend into the loading area and it's awesome, and people look at you and the cast members have to stop people from boarding.

Well, I did pretty much the same thing as last week, only I didn't do anything other than Haunted Mansion and I didn't leave prematurely to watch Star Trek. The cast members all think I'm a weirdo, I'm sure. I was going to try out the new Matterhorn seat cushions, but I just couldn't stop doing Haunted.

They probably do, and from what you've said about your visiting habits I think they have a justified reason for forming such an opinion.
