My Stitch's Great Escape Update

More Stitch Thoughts.

Not a chance for a preview during MNSSHP.
Possible by the end of October, but I think that's pushing it.

Now, check out this though. It would seem the "energy cannons" that follow Stitch around the room may be the key to making this attraction kid friendly!

You see instead of the room being pitch black, the room is now lit up from the beams that project from the cannon. Because stitch is still invisible you don't see him, but you hear him. The added effect of the beam following the sound around the room would help clue in the kids that "Stitch" is out in the room doing things. Also, the cannon could project not only the beam, but also an image of Stitch. Say a video image that then moves about the room as well. This could be the key to helping keep enough light so the kids feel comfortable while strapped in there seats. Given the new projection technoligy that's out there this is VERY possible.

I've been wondering about this myself, since my kid loves Stitch, but won't do anything that goes pitch black. Can anyone confirm this? I don't want him to get his hopes up only to find out he'll be too scared of the dark to ride. I don't think the harness will bother him.

Has anyone seen any "warning signs" that might be posted outside the attraction?

Just out of curiosity, was Skippy the only thing that was left behind from AE that still remains as a "memory" of the attraction?

Well the whole attraction looks an awfule lot like the old AE. So in a sense, ALOT of stuff has been left behind.

Good news!

That's pretty much what I expected though. No matter your feelings on the attraction, it would be pretty hard to say that it LOOKED bad.

No, S.I.R. is still there as well.

I hate to get technical with you, but from the pictures I've seen of the 2nd preshow room, The Sarge looks absolutely nothing like S.I.R. So really it isn't the same character, it's just the same animatronic. Kinda like what they did with the 2nd Skippy animatronic by turning it into some other kind of furry alien creature.

I know what you are saying, but I think he ment things that look like Alien Encounter

Sarge isn't SIR. You remove Tim Curry, it's not SIR anymore. Besides, only the base is the same. All the limbs and body and head are new.
