Is it a normal reaction to be so excited about WDW that you mention it practically everyday? I've begun to notice that my parents give me this look like their tired of me mentioning it. Sure, I'm obsessed I guess :)) but it's just so dang excitin' to think that I will soon be back in "the happiest place on earth!" Too bad my parents can't be as excited as I am...I'll be sad though when the trip is over because my parent's have said they have no desire to go back anytime soon after again. Oh well, I'm going to try and get my Disney fill on this next trip!!! So glad you guys understand how I feel! :)

Well, as a 17 year old Disney loving male, it's kind of sparked a reputation at my school since i was the only one around who knew the exact dates that every Disney theme park opened or knew the lyrics to almost every disney song (theme park or movie) and the one who just kidding around suggested a trip to Epcot that was taken seriously and I got to plan the whole thing but that's a whole other story.

As for my parents, well, Mom frankly stopped caring....
"Hey Mom, They're Putting Tower of Terror at California Adventure"
"That's Great Tony"
"And that Flik's Fun Fair sounds like an overgrown Honey I shrunk the Kids Playground with rides instead of slides"
"Uh-Huh"
"Mom, tell your friend at the Disney Channel to bring back Inside-Out"
"Uh-Huh"
"Seriously"
"Okay...I'll do it when i go to the office"

As for Dad....
"Hey Dad, They might put that haunted mansion holiday at the Haunted Mansion at Disney World"
"Why don't you go outside and play football"
"Not now, I'm reading this cool article about Rock and Roller Coaster on the internet"
"Is that the one with Aerosmith?"
"Yeah, how did you know"
"I saw it on MTV"
"Oh, well yeah that's it"
"That's Fantastic T , go down the street and play baseball like a normal teenager"

To tell you the truth, i think it's great that there are more teenage Psychotically Obsessed Disney fans out there besides me, that way i can tell the ones who use me for parlor tricks (like singing songs in the middle of math class) that there are more out there than just me.

I don't believe it's a sickness at all. It is a lifestyle. Either you are there or not. It's like math. Some people are Algebra people and some people are Geometry people. Neither is better or worse than the other, their minds just work differently. It's not their fault they don't understand. You should feel sympathy towards all who do not embrace the Mouse and all that is Disney. It is like feeling sympathy for the bird who can't fly. Sorry, I got a little out there. I am 42, my brother 39, best friend 42, cousins 21 and 23, son 15 and we are all Disney people. Disneyphiles of the world, unite.

Heading for the great escape.
The bad news is, dont expect a cure any time soon. Speaking as a Dad and Disney nut most of my kids feel the same but the youngest, first Disney trip when she was 2, couldnt care less she sees it as nothing special. as forMY parents they think its nice but that id be far better off spending my hard earned money on something more practical, so I guess parents are the same no matter how old you get.
Mind do I include myself in that:hammer:

I am going to WDW in August, again, and Even though I am married now my parents still say, "you're going there again." "Disney is so expensive."

My feeling is this, everyone says Disney is expensive. and i say yes it is. but here is the thing - Six flags, hereshey park or any other themed amusement park is going to be expensive. If I were to go to vacation at for example Hershey Park (for a weekend trip) it would cost nearly as much as my disney hotel and park passes cost for a seven day trip.

Passes into all the parks are @50.00 (any hotel is about $150 per night per person - Thurs, Friday and Sat night that's @600.00 inc tax right there. then I have to buy food and stuff in the parks and souveniers, I also have to drive to Hershey - gas and tolls. before I know it I've spent over $1200.

Then I say to myself - geez, I could have gone to Disney - even if I drove, the gas might be alittle more expensive, but did you know, the cost of tolls is the same driving to Florida (@1200 miles) as it is to Hershey (@220 miles).

So far me if I am going to spend my money of my vacation I am going to Disney - it is not that much more than other vacations people take. And Besides there is a lot more to do.

Well I'm 18 and I love WDW, and before my trip there last year I was obsessed with it. My parents sometimes poke fun at me, but they understand that it's what I'm into. My dad actually let me plan out the trip which was great. I've learned not to really talk about it with them because they aren't that interested, but they don't mind that I love it. I just hope I have enought money to go in 2 years...................

My friends think my husband and I are nuts. This is our third trip this year. One friend asks when we are going back home (meaning Disney). Sometimes I am sitting in my office and I think of everything that I am missing in Disney and I feel sad:cry: But then I look at my calendar and say to myself hey in 15 days I will be on my way to the greatest place in the world!!!!! My office looks like a Disney shrine, so I often get comments like "I guess you like Disney" Duh :hammer: The staff in my office even calls me Snow White. Ok maybe that's a little much but everybody know I LOVE DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

It is not nuts to think about wdw all the time. If it was a lot of
people would be nuts Disney World is the one place you can be
a little kid again and it is pure fun for all:D
