We were able to see the Be our Guest Rest last oct, albeit from outside.....looks so awsum. From everything I read and see here and other sights its a sight to behold inside. Just a beautiful place. BUT...here is my concern....You have such a beautiful restaurant ,right in the middle of Fantysyland.....probably the most KID geared place in Disney...why would you have a restaurant that pretty much offers near anything a child would like to eat. im looking at the menu and thinking that this is NOT a restaurant I would bring my child to EAT....except for the beauty of it.I don'y know...maybe its just me because I havent seen others complain. I would just think you woukld have a menu that has kids in mind ,especially one right in middle of fantasyland

The problem is we have raised a generation of children who are programmed to think that dinner must be chicken fingers, pizza or a burger.

I love to see children who are adventurous eaters who have not been taught that 'they won't like' certain things. I get kids won't like broccoli or some other veggies, but if we never try they won't either.

Heck, I watched many episodes of the Waltons and don't remember Elizabeth or Jim-Bob whining that they wanted nuggets and fries instead of squirrel and cornbread.

I think my younger one might draw the line at squirrel but the older one might try it as he is part puma!

And for a more up-to-date menu, the official kid's menu on the WDW website:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/magic-kingdom/be-our-guest-restaurant/menus/

For Kid's Dinner entrees it lists:
Grilled Steak with seasoned vegetables
Grilled Chicken Breast with macaroni with marinara sauce and grilled vegetables
Whole-grain Macaroni with marinara sauce and mozarella

And under the "Mickey check meals" section there's two more:
Grilled fish of the day with rice pilaf and vegetables
Turkey meatloaf with broccoli and zucchini

Swap you the squirrel for a nice pinot grigot and you can keep the cornbread :)
