My ONLY problem with Be Our Guest Rest.......

The problem is we have raised a generation of children who are programmed to think that dinner must be chicken fingers, pizza or a burger.

I love to see children who are adventurous eaters who have not been taught that 'they won't like' certain things. I get kids won't like broccoli or some other veggies, but if we never try they won't either.

Heck, I watched many episodes of the Waltons and don't remember Elizabeth or Jim-Bob whining that they wanted nuggets and fries instead of squirrel and cornbread.

Haha!
This one made me chuckle 'cause I can actually relate pretty darn well to it!
Along with having had squirrel and cornbread more times than I can remember over the years (although, not necessarily always together ;)) we ate whatever mom put on the table. You ate that or you went to bed hungry, it was as simple as that. I have never been a huge fan of beets or sweet patotoes, but I ate them anyway. Also, luckily, mom was (and still is) a good cook. :)
Our 3 Kiddos were raised pretty much the same way, and as a result are pretty adventurous eaters.
I'm no Andrew Zimmern, but I wouldn't have minded joining him on more than a few of his little culinary adventures...! :p ;)

We were able to see the Be our Guest Rest last oct, albeit from outside.....looks so awsum. From everything I read and see here and other sights its a sight to behold inside. Just a beautiful place. BUT...here is my concern....You have such a beautiful restaurant ,right in the middle of Fantysyland.....probably the most KID geared place in Disney...why would you have a restaurant that pretty much offers near anything a child would like to eat. im looking at the menu and thinking that this is NOT a restaurant I would bring my child to EAT....except for the beauty of it.I don'y know...maybe its just me because I havent seen others complain. I would just think you woukld have a menu that has kids in mind ,especially one right in middle of fantasyland
It has the best kids menu anywhere - what is the problem with it? It has actual decent food rather than the processed junk that is typically found elsewhere.

Didn't the Dis food blog say around the time that BOG opened that we would see seasonal menu (micro) changes for this restaurant? Anyhow, I have yet to see a problem with this restaurant other than it gets really crowded. But that's expected for the most part. Nevermind, I answered my former question: "And note that the menu is seasonal — new additions will be introduced several times per year". Another question, is the Beast still greeting guests in his library/armour room?

He was there at the end of December! :)

The Beast was meeting guests and taking photos after dinner on Monday. As for the menu, I ended up with my four year old's mystery fish and she ate the shrimp from my dinner. Food was good, and she didn't see a nugget until the drive home today!
