My Number 1 Tip For Mk.

Our last trip, when we were there at rope drop, we went straight to Dumbo and rode it twice in a row because it was my 10 month old's first trip. Before we had a kid, I had seen numerous comments about left vs right, same as what HouCuseChickie said. We go left and barely see a soul until Fantasyland. I guess it depends on your family and what your goals are for that day, but we follow the go-left theory quite often.

But my advice for everyone is to go right....yes you want to go right! ;)

We head straight to the back of the park at opening. Get FP (PPF) then ride a busy attraction, such as Ariel or Belles cottage. We normally save the MTNs for later at night if possible .. Much better experience IMO.

We always tour MK by turning left and going into Adventureland and riding Pirates first. After that we do each attraction as we come to it. If wait times are too high we bypass that attraction and when we've made a complete circle of the park redo a ride/attraction we might of missed or come back another day. Riding Pirates first thing usually always is a walk on. (We go in the winter)
We do the exact same thing. Always go left and ride Pirates first.
