I try to stay out of the whole MM+ debate, but this thread has been interesting because of the testing nature of what is going on now.You raise some good points. And I would, as I said, honestly love if we got 3 reserved and then extra the day off because 3 just seems like a rather pathetic number. But sadly, anyone who has reported on it thus far seems to indicate this wont be the case. But @dadddio was claiming as fact that the Terms and Conditions implied/down right stated that this would happen. Thank you for clarifying that he was wrong and providing the info you did
One could put forth the supposition that with the location data available with the RFID chip throughout the park, enforcing the 3 FP limit during this particular testing phase and not including any additional FP could be a test to see what kind of traffic patterns develop without the burden of "FP shopping". Do crowds go to more shops and eateries with only 3 FPs or do they spend more time in other lines (and thus lower guest satisfaction) because of the limit?
They could probably correlate this to the existing guest who might have RFID KTTW cards (APs, regular ticket holders?) but not bound to the 3 FP limit in addition to probably their ridiculous amount of historical data. How much time does a normal guest versus a FP limited guest spend in merchandise shops and eateries? How is that affected by the inherent back and forth of FP shopping versus the 3 FP limit plus regular queues?
I bet there is a massive amount of data mining going on right now to figure out where the sweet spot between FP, guest satisfaction, and guest spending is.
