I don't want the skyway to return because kids spit, mesh would be ugly and the ride wasn't that great anyway.
The lagoon is gone and the submarines aren't coming back, so let's give something new a chance. There is plenty of water in other places, around Tom Sawyer's Island and outside the main entrance to name a couple. I'd rather see that property developed into some forward thinking 21st century Fantasyland attractions.
Some seasonal operations are good ideas, such as Davy Crockett canoes and Mike Fink keelboats. I miss seeing them circling Tom Sawyer's Island during the summer, but they wouldn't have to operate in slower months or during the one week of winter every year! On the other hand, closing attractions is a pocketbook decision, not a guest experience decision. Carousel of Progress and Timekeeper should be open all day, every day. If the decision has been made to shut down and replace Timekeeper, let its replacement be open all the time.
I also like Haunted Mansion just as it is, but Pirates could be improved with some revised sequences, especially before the drop. The abandoned beach and the skeleton helmsman don't really fit with the rest of the attraction, do they?
As for clones of Dumbo, I have to agree. Dumbo is great, but two were enough (Astro Orbiter). Put those imagineers to work on something more imaginative for the kids. A new dark ride for kids would probably have cross over appeal to adults (Peter Pan, Pooh?). Aladdin deserved better.
