Oh yeah, we'll definitely have to meet up at some point. I'm going to be at the Resort a lot... tentatively the 3rd, 5-8, 12-15 and 18th. Also just around town in general. I really want to see Wreck It Ralph sometime (comes out on the 2nd), so that might be fun at the El Cap or just anywhere!

The Ultimate To-Do List

I've been kinda tinkering around with the idea of a big to-do list for a little while now. The reasoning is I'm going to be spending a lot of time at the Resort, so I want to do everything. Not EVERYTHING, but everything. Hmm, now "everything" looks weird to me. Anyway, I want to do all of the official attractions plus some of the special extra things, too. I don't want it to be anything to expensive or exclusive, just something the average person can show up and do someday without too much cost or planning. A good example is that I love to get a mint julep in NOS. It'll never be on a map or commercial, but people watching while drinking that mint julep is heaven! On the other side, I'm not going to do something like Blue Bayou... it is a quintessential Disneyland experience, but a little too pricey for me. I'd love any input or suggestions and I'll try to come back and edit these posts to make a true mega list. Musical chairs on Main St is something that I had never heard of before One for Disneyland, one for DCA, and one for DtD or stuff that I can do in multiple locations.

Sounds great:) Usually the El Capitan will have extra stuff going on for the movie so we'll see what they have for Wreck It Ralph.

Cosmic, sounds like you're doing pretty much everything! And yes, the cinema on Main Street is considered an attraction. It plays old Mickey Mouse cartoons, six of them to be exact.

I'm certainly going to do my best! And my wife has books to read with the kids: Mark Twain, Buffalo Bill, Annie Oakley, Abe Lincoln and Jean Lafitte. I'm... going to go on Fastpass runs.

That will definitely make room for more time. I hope you can do everything on your two lists. The good thing is you can come back anytime after the Fastpass return, if you actually want to do that.

Yeah, I'm an outlaw... I always took advantage of the "no end of the FP window" and I haven't been to WDW since it changed, so I haven't gotten un-used to it. The only thing is the best time to use your FP's in WDW is usually the middle of the afternoon, but at DLR I have heard it may be best to save them til the early evening when everyone shows up after work.

Yes, the evening is usually the best time to use them because the lines start getting longer. That's usually when I use mine.

It looks like Thunder Mountain and Alice will be open when you go! I'm really hoping it stays that way for you guys!

I measured my daughter today with a pair of winter boots on... she was 39"! I need to teach her some good posture! If you try to tell her to "stand straight up" or to "make herself taller" she usually just stands on her tiptoes. She's standing "at ease" and she needs to be standing "at attention". I have a good feeling, though!

Lol that's hilarious! Put her in some heels, she'll be tall enough!

I just received an email from the El Capitan. For Wreck-It-Ralph, before each showing, Ralph and Vanellope will perform live on stage with a DJ. Vanellope will also be doing a character breakfast each Saturday and Sunday morning, for the 10 am showing. Something to think about:)

Interesting... might actually get me out to Hollywood!

Yikes! Three weeks from now, I will be waking up in California! We're starting to get to that stage where it's not good enough to have a vague idea of what you're doing... you need to have actual plans eventually! Some progress... got my house reserved for a night in Yucca Valley, at least. Other than that? Eh... I made a "To Do" list. The Getty Villa is back on the schedule... thinking about going there on the 3rd. I really want to see Wreck-It Ralph; it comes out on the 2nd, but when to go? My brother-in-law did the "buy a day, get 2012 and 2013 free" thing at Universal Studios AND he gets a free ticket in his birthday month, which just happens to be November! Plus, a little birdie might be able to get cheap tickets for the rest of us. My wife didn't put up much of a fight... looks like I'm gonna ride Transformers! I didn't think it would be this hard to fit everything in!

Holy moly. Three weeks?!?? Man, that was fast! I need to go back and see when this thread was posted.

Yay for Universal! I can totally meet up with you guys there, and maybe even Disneyland. I really don't know how you're going to be able to do all of this in one month... Will you be doing something every single day in November???
