Please, no snarky comments as it will totally derail this thread. But what is your favorite scene in IASW and why?
Mine is the Rain Forest/Jungle scene with the hippo and giraffe. I have always looked forward to that scene since I was a youngling. I really like Mary Blair's work. To me it just scream Disney.

Mine is the scene where the people stand up and get off the boats and run out of the building covering their ears.

I am not trying to derail it but its the truth. I have seen several people do that.

I love the jungle scene as well... also the final scene with the ferris wheel... always loved it.

I actually really enjoy IASW as a whole very much and it holds a very special place in my heart. It was my grandmother's favorite ride. She saw it at when it debuted the World's Fair and when she got home, she had her second grade class do a play based on IASW. I also have a video of her teaching me to play the organ for the first time when I was 3, and I'll let you guess what song she was teaching me :)

Sadly she passed away when I was 7, so whenever I ride IASW, its like a piece of her is in WDW with me and its comforting in a sense.

I enjoy the penguin scene and the platypusses (sp?). Hilarious... it's supposed to be about bringing people of all cultures together and I pick animals as my favorite part of the ride... :brick:

My favorite scene is aboslutely the Cheetah in the rain, nodding his head up and down.
I always figured if he talked he'd be saying, in rhythm with the song, "Yup....yup......yup......yup.."

I also love the Koalah bears shaking their heads..." Nope.....nope.....nope." :sohappy:

The scene with the duckbilled platter pusses, the first time we rode it DS was eight years old and had never heard of one. I explained what it was to him. This started an interest in animal husbandry that is still going strong.

So true.

I would have to say one of my favorite parts of IASW would be the water/ocean scene where you see the mermaids singing, fish, sea horses, etc.

I love the whole attraction!!

The Thai dancers are pretty- and I like the flying carpets overhead. But my probable favorite is the all-white room at the end.

DD and I do IASW at least 4 or 5 times each trip.
