And an update on my next set of projects: I have started my next set of designs, but they unfortunately do not relate to Disney. I am doing video game characters with a different type of style than the minimalist one I used for my EPCOT posters. Maybe I'll get back to Disney designs eventually, but for now I'm focusing on this new outlet. I'll post my progress in a new thread eventually if people want to see it!

That's awesome!!!! They look great lined up together. I'm glad you are happy with them! Thanks so much for posting that.

I would love to see what anyone else has done with theirs and see what the others look like when they're printed. Also, I'm curious to see a close up of one to see the print resolution. Keep the pics coming! This is cool!

I'm thrilled with them, in fact. That was no joke getting them arrayed like that -- we had to wedge a ladder into the corner of the room & climb up there -- more tricky than you would think. I'll see what I can about a close-up...I do have my camera with me today.

BTW I had the following done to them:

- little white border trimmed off from around the edges of each print, and

- mounted on black foam core for durability.

Thanks for your fine work scbb.

Awesome! I'm so glad!
For anyone interested, Imagekind says their final day to order prints and still get them by Christmas is Sunday the 19th for framed prints, and Tuesday the 21st for regular prints.

Yesterday I spent my Christmas at epcot! It was my first time back at Disney in 2 years. We did a lot of things I haven't done in a long long time.
So this is my first update from my iPhone as I'm still in Florida. But I have not forgotten about you guys! This week this poster special is on Imagination!

I just wanted to share with everyone that today I was one of Imagekind's "featured artists" and I got my name on the front page! Thanks to everyone that has helped to make my art a success. I hope I can keep creating works that take you back to the good ol' days of Disney for a long time to come!

Today Imagekind lowered their shipping costs! This is a huge change because I know shipping before was a little extreme. Now it lowers the final totals on orders and makes everything much more affordable!

Also, I will have a new surprise soon. Hopefully within the next week or two. I'm working on a project that makes the original EPCOT posters even more special! Updates soon!

Well, here is the surprise I was talking about! I took my Spaceship Earth poster and turned it into a painting! It is a backpainted piece of acrylic, so what you see in the pictures is not framed. That's the whole painting. It's a pretty simple and rewarding way to create a cool painting. I used metallic paint and matched all of the colors myself. (That's kinda my thing.) I don't think the pictures do it justice, but nothing can replace seeing it in person. I am going to build a frame to put around it and get it hung up soon, so if I remember I'll post pictures of it completed.

I'm hoping to make more and possibly put some up for sale in the future, but that's a problem I need to tackle later. So for now, this one will be going up on my wall in my room. Just another way for me to pay tribute to the original EPCOT! I hope everyone likes it!

So I have a fantastic update for anyone that still cares. I have added my posters to RedBubble, so that now anyone can get postcards or greeting cards of my Experimental Poster Compositions of Tomorrow! I have been getting a lot of requests lately for smaller sizes and more affordable ways to own copies of my work. Well, now you can get a postcard of each poster for a pretty reasonable price! I hope these smaller sizes help more people get a hold of my work and my tribute to the original EPCOT Center!

My other posters can also still be found on Imagekind

Enjoy!

Hey everyone! Been awhile since I've actually put up a post, but I've been busy with something! I've always loved the original EPCOT. The rides were so unique and special (as most people feel on here). And being a designer, I've always been drawn to their logos. So I wanted to create a set of posters dedicated to each original pavillion by indirectly using the original logos in some way. I'm pretty happy with my results, and I wanted to share them with everyone. I call the set "Experimental Poster Compositions of Tomorrow." These posters are modern day interpretations of the great Future World attractions of yesterday. Taking on a minimalistic style, each focuses on the main ideas and foundations of the pavillions they represent.
They are on my Flickr account here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/55091635@N07/sets/72157625103242799/
All comments are welcome and encouraged! I can't wait to get back to WDW again. I may make posters of the modern attractions as well if I get time. Thanks everyone!

(I put this is the general forum because we don't have a fan art page like most forums do. And this isn't scrapbooking.)

Great Job!!!! Got to ask ya... How long did it take you to make them?

Hi everyone!
Tough for me to believe, but it's been a whole year since I created my original EPCOT posters! As a thank you to everyone that helped make the series a success, I am discounting all of the EPCOT posters for two weeks. It really has been a crazy year watching the posters take off and then designing the sets that followed. I have met a lot of talented peers and gracious fans, and it has been a very humbling experience. Just watching people pass them along on blogs, reposting them and "liking" them is so cool. I am so happy to have touched so many people and to have brought so much joy to a special group of people. So thank you for all the support, and hopefully I'll be able to keep making things you enjoy!
