I have decided that POTC will NOT be a replica of the classic ride, but will be based on the movie trillogy. The ride will take place across the films, including all the major characters - Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizibeth Swann, Captain Barbosa, Davey Jones, Comadeer Norrington, Siao Feng etc. The films cast will provide voices

The Kraken will also be involved somehow, I'm thinking about using The Kraken to soak guests, what do people think?

I like your ideas, but you should at least incorporate SOME elements of the ride, maybe the scenes from the classic attraction seen only in Florida and compensate for them with scenes themed to the movies. That way, it's 50-50.

The only elements from the original that could make it into the new ride are ones that were included in the film. The dog for example could be included. But I want this to be a completly unique experience. To demonstrate that the ride will not simply be called PotC, it will be: Pirates of the Carribean:The Ledgend of Jack Sparrow

That is the final list of atractions for Disneyland Park Australlia, I'm pleased with it, I think it offers a nice mix of classic and new. That list would be the opening day atractions. In adition there would be a daytime parade - The Wonderful World of Dinsey Parade (imaginitive I know) and a nightime firework show imported from Orlando - Wishes.

The resort would open with 2 hotels - Disney's Grand Australlain and Disney's Outback Lodge
