This isn't park related, but I didn't know where else to post it. I was reading a book called Two Little Trains to my 21 month old son last night and he pointed to an image on the page and said, "Mouse." I looked and realized that he had found a hidden Mickey in the book! I guess my brainwashing is working.

Here's a scan of the page in the book. I drew an arrow at the Mickey he found. Ok, it's a stretch, but he's just a baby!

Its amazing how little minds work and how corporations feed into that with symbols. for a while I couldn't go anywhere near a McDonalds, cuzz of the golden arches are able to be spotted from blocks away and little tummy's are always hungry. And later on when they learn to spell, well, damn pizza for being an easy word to spot!! "Dad! Theres pizza there. I saw it and I spelt it and we got to stop and get some!" Very cute though.

We have a lot of Mickey furniture in our house that has the three circle Mickey symbol on it and I was very surprised when he started pointing to it and saying "Mouse." I knew he knew who Mickey was because he watches the show, but I never taught him what that symbol meant. He started pointing it out several months ago. He even found the little one that's on my watch. But this was the first time that he looked at something that was completely un-Mickey related and found a Mickey in it.

Honestly, for me, it's quite thrilling, because he's showing an interest in something that we really love. It was wonderful to go to WDW this past spring and have him really recognize Mickey (and Buzz) when we saw them.

That is so cute!

My daughter did the same thing recently. She pointed to a cluster of circles on a toy of hers and signed "Mickey Mouse" (she does not say a lot of words yet). I looked and sure enough, it looked like the mouse ears :ROFLOL:

She doesn't really understand who Mickey is yet other than a few pictures in some of her books and her Mickey bathroom but the girl likes what she sees

Wait till she finds out he walks & talks, that'll shock the heck out of her
