We are going to Florida in December (8-22) and would love to go to MVMCP but been in the UK we can't purchase tickets before we go....do you think we will manage to get some at such a late date when we arrive?..thankyou :xmas:

We CAN get tickets .. we've bought them for MNSSHP before. We just rang WDW on 0014078242222 and asked for the booking number for special events . We book everything before we go!!! Good luck.

Good to get it squared away instead of having concern. Only the last few nights usually sell out. As I tend to go the first or second week in Dec., I just wait on my purchase to be sure (or as sure as you can be in FL) of the weather.

My biggest fear is telling 3 kids we are going to MVMCP & then not been able to go because we can't get tickets...I would rather be 100% sure before we leave the UK that we can go & will have to just grin & bare the weather whatever may come!!....hats & gloves at the ready!! :sohappy:

Understood. Good to have it done with, and you don't have to think about it.

Just for information sake, there is some more on this topic over here:

I had to laugh at your hats and gloves remark, although I have been down in Dec. where they would be useful in the evenings.

Thanks for the link.....compared to the UK in December it will probably feel quite warm actually. We were at WDW 4 yrs ago at Thanksgiving & the weather was great but I am aware that Florida weather can be quite changeable. I am going to call up this week & find out about the tickets...would they post them out to the UK? :xmas:

Ahhhh...that would be cool....guaranteed to receive them then, our postal system can be quite shambolic, my mother in law received a letter last week that was posted 2 yrs ago, it was from a government dept aswell....so I dont think i trust my MVMCP tickets to arrive that way. Also means I have something to show the kids...proof!! :ROFLOL:

Absolutely. Last December we experienced days "like a typical British summer" with temps around the low 80's :sohappy: but as evening came there was a sharp temp drop and we changed from shorts and Tshirts to long (lightweight) pants and carried a jumper/sweatshirt. It was necessary to wear the jumper on occasions.
On NYE we sat at the front of the railings by EPCOTs lagoon for hours - it was cold !!

It must have warmed up then cause late Nov early Dec was hats jackets and gloves. Hell I even had to put on trousers.

As for tickets, they give you the option of having them sent or collect at the ticket windows. I did that last year, no problems just make sure you have ref number and photo ID.

I assumed that because we are in the UK that we would be unable to get MVMCP tickets before we left home, but hopefully I will be able to pre order them. I will pack to cover all weather conditions as the reports seem so varied!! :xmas:

Better to be safe than sorry & have an extra layer around the waist or in a locker....wouldn't like to have to buy 5 jackets in the parks if we didn't!!...DH would never let me live it down I am sure! Does it tend to be wet & cold or just cold? :xmas:

We had one thunderstorm and it was a real good one. Other than that I dont recall any rain at all in the whole holiday. A bit of a change from August.

Don't mention the thunderstorm word....I am a storm phobic!!!...Last time we were there & were dining in Kissimmee & the biggest storm came over....I wouldn't leave the restaurant until it passed!! Fingers crossed we don't one this year....I can cope with wet & warm as long as it doesn't thunder!...still prefer the sunshine to show his face though
