I am going to MVMCP solo on November 19th. Do you have any tips so that I can make the most of the experience, I have went before but it was a less than enjoyable time because of the company I was with.

I want to do it all (the shows, etc.)

I don't have any great tips, all I can say is take your time to do what you really want..but you already knew that. One thing I did enjoy last year by myself was sitting on a bench in fantasy land watching the castle and the people for a few minutes. (my family had gone in to see a show and i really enjoyed the few minutes to myself)

I've never been to the Christmas Party but I recently went to the Halloween Party. My advice is to pick two or three things you really want to do and concentrate on that. My husband and I thought we could do everything that was offered at the party so we were disappointed when we ran out of time. We didn't ride any rides and didn't stop to eat and we still couldn't do everything. If you really want to do all the shows that are offered I would say to stay away from character meet and greets. From my experience it is impossible to do the characters and all the shows.

One thing I do regret is not taking the time to really enjoy the decorations and atmosphere. We literally spent the whole night running around.

Have fun!!

I would agree with the poster above. We have gone twice and tackled it totally differently. First time we prodominently did rides and saw the show in front of the castle, the parade and fireworks.

The second time we didn't ride any rides and saw only shows along with the castle show, parade and fireworks. Still couldn't see all the shows due the fact you have to be there in advance of most of them if you wanna get a seat and the timing of the shows just doesn't seem to allow you to see them all.

Had a blast both times though!

You can look at it two ways: One, you can hit the rides when everyone is watching the various shows and parades (knowing there is another set of each later in the evening). Or, you can do the watching first and then try to hit the rides afterwards, hoping by then the crowds would have thinned out some.

Personally, the last time I was at the MVMCP, I believe we had dinner then went right over to the "Night Before Christmas" show; I and my family really wanted to see that one. Then we rode some rides and then watched the parade. I hope this was useful to you....

what shows are you referring to? The Dance Parties? I'm going to the party thiis Sunday and I thought there was just the Villian show in front of the castle, the dance parties, the parade and fireworks that were unique to the party. Are there others?

I was referring to the MVMCP since the OP was asking for tips on that event. I have never been to MVSHP.

I asked a similar question on these boards a few years ago. The best tip that we got was that you can enter MK at 4 pm with the MVMCP tickets. I would have never guessed that you could get an extra 3 hrs in the MK. We used that time very wisely and ate dinner at The Crystal Palace and then rode a few rides until we were escorted into TL at 6 pm.

Yeah, I agree with that. Why waste valuable party time on rides when you can do that any other day? Especially considering you paid extra to go to the party. Get there at 4, ride some rides, eat dinner, and then when its party time, concentrate on party stuff!!

Very good tips everyone, thank you. I am attending a MVMCP on Dec. 13. Two years ago I attended a Not So Scary Halloween Party at the start of my trip and I forgot about the early entry of 4 p.m.

It was raining for most of the afternoon, so I took a nap at the Shades of Green, and wandered into the Magic Kingdom at around 7 p.m., pretty much blowing off the three extra hours.

Still had a great time in the rain, but now that I firmly know abou the 4 p.m. early entry for the Christmas / holiday party, I am going to take full advantage.

Thanks!
