Must See Attractions Closing Soon

WondersOfLife

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
Other than Indiana Jones (Epic) and American Idol, what do you guys think are some of the must-see attractions and locations that will be closed or significantly modified within the next few years?

Isn't Soarin' getting a new film?

None that I really know for sure of... But for some reason, the following list rides make me feel like they won't last long for another few years, at least in their current form/condition .-.

Captain EO
Ellen's Energy Adventure
Carousel of Progress
Maelstrom (that frozen rumor)

Not really any sources... But just saying, I'm feeling those four are going to be modified somehow (hopefully). So to be on the safe side, I always catch them when I can! :)

Not to butt in, but I don't think he was looking for sympathy; I read that as "since I won't be able to afford to come back for a while, what should I make sure is at the top of my priority list in case it's gone before I can come back?"

I'm looking to discuss attractions that are thought to be closing and or modified. Not sure how that was unclear or thought of as a cry for sympathy.
You're probably correct about intent, but, honestly you're telling us that you have been going as a CM since 1999 and you are asking us what you should see? To me something isn't adding up. You should be telling us what to go see before it closes. That may be part of the cause of the "misunderstanding". How could you not know what to see already and that you're not just trying to get the rumor mill started up again? Something is just not ringing true here. I've been wrong before and this might be one of those times, but, you did ask how that was unclear.

BTW, I didn't think that you were looking for sympathy. I did, however, feel a little puzzled by the question.

1. Why am I being quoted here?
2. I think it's been established that many CM's don't know what is closing much sooner than the general public.

1. Don't panic, it was because it fit in with what I was saying.
2. If a CM doesn't know what is going on in the parks, how the hell are we supposed to know any more then they do.

Indy is not closing there was twitter announcement about it...AIE is tho and that's fine by me..

Do you have a link or picture of the tweet?

Nevermind I found it. Has any of the cast even confirmed this? I'll wait for an official announcement from Disney. I've found some things to be wrong on that site before.

Because you started off by saying you wouldn't be a CM anymore and then saying you're not an instate resident. It's sympathy vote plain and simple.

I'm not really sure what this thread is looking for - there are a few too many threads around about rumors of closings, and I'm sure that not a lot of "normal" people here will have sympathy for you having to pay "normal people prices" after 15 years of discounts.

That's what he's looking for. Sympathy. That's all. Ride rumors are in a myriad of queues....

Wait. You've been a Campus Rep for FIFTEEN YEARS!?! What are you still doing on a campus? Shouldn't you have graduated by this point?

Campus reps are like recruiters. They're not college students (if I understand it correctly); they make a living by recruiting college students to participate in the college program.

I thought they made a living by stuffing tons of kids into Disney owned properties, just like the coal mines used to do.

Can I just say that the pitiful idiocy and hostility on this forum will never cease to amaze me.

For likely closings in the upcoming years, what Marni (and others) said.
Disney campus rep is often done after a college program. You recruit new CP's.
CM's are not kept in the loop by TWDC about upcoming closings.

Some of you people are just plain vicious... The poor guy just had a simple question... if you didn't have any thoughtful information to share with the kind fella, please, keep moving... This is a happy thread! :)
