Must-Do Restaurants

I'm looking into some totally new (for me) options for my trip this fall (I know it's late to be making ADRs, but we didn't decide we were actually going until well after the 180-day mark). I made some ASAP just so we didn't miss out on eating anywhere nice altogether, but they were mostly on a whim.

Right now I have:
'50s Prime Time Cafe (I do this every trip, although I'm not set on it) - Friday lunch
Biergarten - Saturday dinner
Garden Grill - Sunday lunch
Raglan Road - Monday lunch

Other restaurant's I've done in the past: Whispering Canyon (LOVE), Liberty Tree Tavern (LOVE), Via Napoli (LOVE), Sci-Fi (love all around apparently), Cinderella's Royal Table, Coral Reef.

So what haven't I done that is a must-do (we're pretty flexible on what type of food)? We'd like to stay in the parks if possible (although I know Raglan Road is not), just because it's a shorter trip than we're used to and we want to cut back on travel time, but if you have a killer suggestion that's at a resort, go for it. I'm assuming reservations will be hard to come by, but I'll do my best!

EDIT: Does anyone know the status on BoG breakfast for mid-October? My mom really wants to eat there (I'm not too concerned), but I know there's pretty much no chance of getting an ADR for lunch/dinner.

Where are you staying (will help with resort options) and are you getting park hoppers?

We're not sure about where we're staying (we'll officially book this week most likely), but probably 3 nights at a value and then 1 night at a moderate/deluxe (possibly Wilderness Lodge?). Yes to the park hoppers!!

OK - trying to think easier to snag ADRs.

We really enjoyed our meal at Captain's Grill at YC. It shouldn't be too hard to get an ADR there and it's a nice walk from EPCOT if you are spending the day there. Then you can head over to Hollywood Studios via boat for the evening (or Hollywood Studios to YC to EPCOT). The Wave at the Contemporary gets a lot of hate on the boards but we enjoyed the menu there as well. If you end up at WL it's a short boat ride there. Another option is Kona Cafe - I have not had dinner there yet but the menu looks really interesting and it's right on the monorail loop if you are headed to/from MK.

Biergarten and 50's Prime Time are two definites. We also like Whispering Canyon in WL especially for breakfast.

Flying Fish cafe is a favorite of mine. Not that far to get to the boardwalk from Epcot's international gateway. Kona Cafe is also good, especially for breakfast.

In-park - Rose and Crown is one we hit up nearly every trip. We also enjoy Mama Melrose.

Easily the Hoop-Dee-Doo. This is not even bleary-eyed nostalgia although my family went pretty regularly growing up. My lady and I attended on our most recent trip and both said afterwards that it was some of the most fun we had all week. The performers were so engaging and the energy was infectious. You swing a napkin around your head, what else needs to be said? Oh it's all you can eat and drink, including beer, wine and sangria.

Some of the energy the night we went may have had to do with the fact that all of the tables surrounding us were CMs who the cast was not expecting as evidenced by the glowing cast greeting everyone "oh it's so lovely to see you" and "what are YOU doing here?" etc etc. It was a truly excellent night.

California Grill has great food. They dim the lights for the MK fireworks display and have the music playing in the restaurant and on the balcony. It's easy to get to from MK
Rose & Crown is a good place to see Illuminations at Epcot and has good fish n chips.
BoG will have breakfast by October but last we checked, they weren't taking reservations yet.

Our "must" list

Hoop dee doo revue - we've done it 4 years in a row. Everything James said above is true, it's amazing. Such a classic Disney experience!

Ohana- bread pudding dessert. Need I say more? :)

We also love Via Napoli, BOG for lunch, Trails End (both breakfast & dinner), & Mama Melroses

You've already done some of my own must-do places, but one I would definitely recommend is Nine Dragons in China in Epcot. You might think right away "well it's not much more than my local Chinese place at home", but it actually may be better. I thought that at first until we tried it, and they have some delicious food there, and the service is fast. I would also recommend (only now that they put chicken back on the menu) going to 'Ohana at the Polynesian. Apart from the NASTY bread pudding, the rest of the experience there is fun and the food is very good.

We also really enjoy Pizzafari (at AK), Cosmic Rays (at MK), Pecos Bills (at MK), and Roaring Forks (at WL) for our quick service meals.
