I’m in it too! Haha. I know it’s only for 1 day but kind of ironic the extended Q they built for the billion dollar Star Wars land is being used for muppets

What’s incredible is how fast the attraction eats that line. It really hammers home that…
Closing Muppets is malpractice.
It provides several things HS NEEDS - copious capacity, an experience that appeals to all ages and that all ages can experience together, an indoor air-conditioned space. The only argument for closing it is based on naked greed.

Thinking about the “replacement,” it occurred to me that two seemingly conflicting impulses are driving its replacement. One is an overwhelming emphasis on “mature” thrill rides, primarily coasters, designed to appeal to teens. The other is the precipitous decline in Disney’s writing quality and the removal of any witty, satirical, or clever material and anything with a tinge of dark humor. All writing is now at a roughly second grade level.
At first, this “infantilization” would seem to conflict with the increased focus on “mature” audiences. It makes sense, however, if Disney assumes its audience is moronic sensation-seekers. This assumption is part of a much broader cultural trend that spreads far beyond Disney.

Really? I think both of the AI pictures that have been posted recently here are pretty awful and the muppet one is a little disturbing (to me)...

I mean, its a non-specialized AI with a one sentence prompt. Id say its pretty impressive given that.

Disney's argument would be, "That's why we opened not one but two shows (Mermaid and Villains) before closing MV3D."

Assuming the prompt for the Sully and Mike one was something like 'put Mike and Sully for Monsters Inc in front of MuppetVision 3D with hard hats on' and there are thousands of images of the front of Muppet Vision and the Piggy fountain online, I would've hoped that Piggy wouldn't be turned into Ree Yees from Star Wars in a robe and on a weird pedestal or the building front would look like the actual building beyond being made of bricks. But as an artist (musician) with many artist friends, I'm already pretty predisposed to not like AI produced art.
