Any chance the Villains show in Racing Academy is temporary? Seems misplaced with a whole land coming to MK.
MuppetVission had left DCA before my first trip there. How faithful was it to the WDW version? I assume somewhat less, as the theater seems generic in DCA. Could they plug something like that in next to RNR?

This is very promising. Notice how they say ‘closing in its current form.’ This would lead one to believe that the show itself isn’t going extinct, only its current iteration.

it’s not that complicated either though.
It was pretty much the same… the theatre is a bit larger and more boxy so is not quite as charming - this is the same with Philharmagic vs. Florida as well.

No. I personally think Simpsons is well past its prime for a theme park land. And what more could they do that Universal hadn't already did.
I believe DCA's had improved technology and details due to opening 10 years later. For example the curtains looked much better.

I would argue The Simpsons is the only Fox animation franchise that could warrant a theme park presence in WDW. As much as I'd love to see Futurama.

I’d be shocked if Apes doesn’t come to DAK at some point.
Is a Disney World where Mice, Woookies, and muppets walk hand in hand with xenomorph’s, apes, and Springfieldians too much to ask?

Muppet*Vision 3D isn’t just in a theater. It’s a custom facility hosting multiple animated figures, in-theater effects and unique cast access, none of which is present at Sunset Showcase. Nor does it have the circulation. It’s also smaller which means what exists is of even less use as a basis of design. Even the floor would have to be ripped out or built up for the raked seating. You’re basically looking at designing a whole new facility with the hassle of keeping some extra bits as a constraint.

Most likely Family Guy & other more intense shows will just have small references rather than even getting a restaurant. Maybe an M&G at best.

They are completely rebuilding the interior of Sunset to accommodate Villians…..
That’s kind of my point, they could be rebuilding so they could easily add Muppets at a later date - that could have been part of the plan all along.

The theater is a shell intended to hold different content. The Villain show is within the scope of its purpose.

Oh, I think Tomorrowland is next once they’re done with Frontier/Villains.
I think Buzz & MILF are not long for this world. Heck, Buzz is already being rethemed in Hong Kong & Tokyo.
If we get a Space retrack, updated Carousel, and replacements for Buzz, Laugh Floor, SGE, & Speedway I’ll be happy.
