DHS MuppetVision 3-D's Future: Potential Disney Park Venues and Vision Pro Immersive Experience

Armchair mind but a MV3D show (even if a lite version) next to the Muppet Coaster with the addition of a rebadged off-the-shelf flat ride would be more than enough to satisfy a Muppets land. Add the Muppet Studios facade entryway into the land and you're golden. It'd be a relatively cheap and easy solution. The ROI comes from coaster LLs and merch sales. (The same thing Monsters Inc land is banking on)

Shame they don't just hold the Villains show for MK. It's like they didn't think it through prior to announcing.
I’m of the mind that maybe the future of the muppets in the parks SHOULDNT be bet all on one land at dhs. Because as we see with muppetvision, they can be easily taken out on a whim and BOOM. No more muppets.

I feel like the best option for long term viability for muppets at wdw is standalone attractions/mini areas at multiple diff parks. Muppets have the cast to pull it off. Say, hypothetically, electric mayhem rnrc at DHS, classic core muppet show cast in hop & liberty square at MK, maybe a muppet labs show or themed restaurant in Epcot or Tomorrowland (animatronic beaker and Bunsen in the star light cafe, anyone? [sorry sonny]). Something like that. That way, the muppets at least all can’t go at once.

Muppets are a great property for putting into pre-existing spaces.

I like this as a last resort but for DHS specifically it just makes too much sense to have them linked under the studio moniker as a unified land.

Who said it has to be at Disney? I can see them giving it back to the Henson family and it could be used in a museum with all effects. For some reason I keep thinking of something like the mr rogers attraction I think in pittsburgh. I think there is also a puppetry museum somewhere. All they have said is they working to ensure it is protected and allowed to be experienced.

There’s the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta.

The challange with giving the show to another entity is that Disney still owns the characters. They’re going to want some control over any future presentation.

all the more reason why they just need to rip the Band-Aid off and commit to a Muppets land. Could be done for less than 2 million.

Two million isn’t getting you a flat ride, much less anything close to a a land.
A land born from the ashes: MV3D lite in flex space, RnRC and a simple flatride. Eatery in the form of themed food trucks. I just don't see it costing all that much if they really wanted to do it. Maybe not 2 mil but certainly cheap enough.

In all fairness, if Disney were to remove a number of rides/shows, their entire property would vanish from Disney World, many of these properties with a much larger legacy than Muppets. Do we extend those into other parks as well?

I was thinking they'd do the cheap route and just slap it on Disney+, but given that Disney themselves seem to be saying that "we'll preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future", it does give me a small light of hope that maybe they'll just move it to a different theater, perhaps where the Cars show was.

There's a Villains show going there.

If I had the chance to talk to the powers that be (and if anyone of importance at Disney is reading this)...can I propose this as a last ditch effort?

I get that you want to have a Villian's show to give you at least some Villians at the parks until the new land gets built. I get that this will be a money maker for now through merchandise sales..etc. However, once the new Villians land opens - do we need this show anymore?

What if you store all the Muppets stuff so that it can be preserved. And I mean store it well - not like Spectro. Then - when RNR is converted to the Muppets, take out the Villians show. Then you can convert the Villians theater back into the Muppets and add a Muppets spinner ride.

If there is anyone from accounting reading - this is perfect. You get a new attraction that opens in time for Epic, you get to sell merchandise for Villians before the Villians land is ready, and you even get to gauge what may or may not work in Villians land with the show. Then....you can take out the show with lots of performers and put back in a show with only a few performers - thus cost cutting in a future budget. You won't even have to spend as much money - because if you have preserved everything well - the fandom will be happy if you put the show back together the way it was. Thus, making a huge win for the fandom who will be beyond excited to go back to the Muppets theater in droves! And you - as Disney - get a "brand new" mini land that you can advertise and gives you a win with the fans.
