Anywaysss back to the muppets... I think they should just revive the abandoned Main Street Theatre project and put the show in there with rotating seasonal shows. Another air-conditioned space at MK will surely improve guest satisfaction and give them a reliable attraction during bad weather and to upsell party packages more. I think MK needs a general show space that isn't just the castle stage too.

I get your point but if MV 3D had to move into any other venue it'd have to be retrofitted to work ONLY with MV 3D and nothing else, or a new build just for MV-3D. That shoots the rotating seasonal show idea down because of the amount of AAs and Sweetums MV-3D has.

It’s definitely possible to create a theatre that could accommodate muppet vision and another production - but the muppets usually pull a decent number of guests as is so I’m not sure that would be necessary.

Since muppets are part of imagineering - they could pitch rotating seasonal muppet shows - that would be quite popular I’m sure.

No, spaces can be designed to accommodate multiple uses. You’d design the facility to account for those needs and provide ways to work around them. There’s nothing technically complicated about hiding figures that already hide. Not sure how a door for one person hinders other uses.

I think the problem with MV3D coming back isn’t the fact of can it work in a pre existing theatre, but rather is Disney really going to invest in rebuilding a soon to be extinct attraction that most likely won’t result in noticeable ROI. I think MP3D can work in any multi use theater with modifications, but I doubt that would even happen.

If they thought it was worth rebuilding Muppet Vision then they would just keep the darned thing open. The whole premise makes no sense.
does a Villians show next to a muppet themed coaster make more sense?

I really wish DHS could have been expanded logically…..

Muppet Studios
Disney Animation
Lucas Studios
Pixar Animation
And Classic Hollywood.

We were so close!!!!

They could easily have Muppet Vision and PhilharMagic rotate in Hollywood Land at DCA rather than have PhilharMagic play full time. I believe MV used to be there actually. It seems like such an easy and low cost solution so I doubt Disney will even consider it. They’re more interested in flashy expenditures that make headlines. They’ll spend a billion on Galaxy’s Edge but not a few millions on a show that most fans like but won’t garner international headlines.

What does Disney not giving a care about theming anymore have anything to do with how it's financially nonsensical to kill an attraction just to move it somewhere else in the same park/park group?

That's burning money for what? So they could make a "land" that doesn't even have two rides? They're clearly not bursting at the seams with ideas for a whole Monsters Land. If they wanted to keep Muppet Vision they could just build the darned rollercoaster and leave it alone!

That's the simple, easy solution to "how do we preserve MV3D?". It costs no money. It costs no time. It's incredibly easy. But they're not doing that.

If they're not willing to spend 0 dollars and 0 minutes on MV3D why should we act like they're willing to spend significantly more on it?

Personally I'm wondering more what will become of the props, costumes and animatronics after MV is closed. Will they go to Henson Studio? Disney Archive? The trash?

Probably the archives and Henson Studios..The Kermit statue from the DCA version was moved over to the Henson studios.

I think having a Muppets miniland would yield a noticable ROI.

I went to DCA in early January (still during Christmas crowds) and their theater that was originally Muppets that is now Philharmagic had exactly 12 people in it. It doesn’t make philharmagic look good (the lack of extended screen hurts that show a lot), and I feel like it would at least be some kind of easy decision to just re-insert Muppets in the theater so it could run somewhere. I don’t think there is any real difference in running one show over another, and it seems like an easy solution in my opinion.

They won't because that back area is rumored to go for Avatar.
