Muppets' New Show is a "documentary" exploring their adult lives

Count me as another Muppets fan who isn't bothered that Walter hasn't shown up. He served his purpose in The Muppets, and Muppets Most Wanted. But I'm fine if that would be the end of the character. I consider myself a pretty big Muppets fan (my whole basement in dedicated to them!) but he just doesn't do it for me.

Well that's the thing. Clifford is no Elmo. I really don't think it would be worth it for them to find a new performer for a character that's not even that in demand to begin with.

Clash has been doing some small scale work for The Henson Company ever since the charges were dropped. I wouldn't be totally suprised if he eventually came back to work with Disney's Muppets. He was an integral part of Sesame, and there was no way they were going to drop Elmo until the court order wrapped up, so they recasted him right away. If he slowly and quietly reprises his roles or does some background puppet work with The Muppets, I won't be totally surprised.

Yeah, and statutory rape charges don't carry quite the career-killing stigma that pedophilia charges do. Look at R. Kelly, for pity's sake!

The charges were dropped though, on the account of ridiculous lack of evidence. I'm not weighing in on the matter, but obviously the court found the case empty enough to drop the charges, so Clash is clean.

Michael Jackson was clean, too, what with being acquitted of all charges, and it still took a few years for most of the stigma to wash off. It still hasn't completely.

I thought last night's episode was definitely a good step in the right direction. It might be too little, too late, but I thought Robin and Camilla were both used perfectly and it was a satisfying pay-off to the two of them being missing from the series. A couple highlights on my end...

-Drunk Pepe=Best thing ever. I understand it's leaning on the "adult humor" side of things, but the puppetry involved (his hanging bottom lip etc.) mixed with the vocal performance had me absolutely rolling.

-Camilla had very little screen time but killed it when she was there. I absolutely gushed up at her moment of understanding with Gonzo towards the end. It's ridiculous how adorable and heartfelt they make a character who speaks only in "pocks". ;)

-In five seconds they cleared up both the Becky storyline and the situation with Scooter's mom and "Ken". They were major focal points before the break so I'm glad to see those two things brought up again.

Definitely curious to see how the rest of the season goes. As far as the Walter situation is concerned honestly the only reason it really bugs me that he's not there is that he was in the ten minute pilot. Granted he didn't have any lines and was in the background, and the pilot isn't in continuity, but it still bothers my OCD :p
