Mummy at Universal

I am wondering what coaster this would compare to. I am a huge fan of the movie and we are thinking about doing Universal on this trip as well as we haven't seen this or the Harry Potter world.

Not sure I can ride it - I can't take anything too wild anymore. I am hoping I can still do Rock n Roller at Hollywood Studios. Is it like that - more drops, milder? Any info is helpful - the POVs I've been able to find are too dark to really see what is happening.

Mummy has an inclined launch at 45 MPH - Rock'n'Roller Coaster goes 60. Mummy only has one real quick drop, the rest is a lot of banked turns and light ups and downs, and no loops of any kind... so if you can do Rock'n'Roller Coaster, you can definitely handle Mummy.

RnRC is probably a good comparison.. with Mummy being a good bit less. Mummy is like 60% dark ride with high energy transitions... with a roller coaster climax. The coaster portion is real.. it's no barnstormer.. but I would say is less intense then RnRC or Space Mountain.. but probably more than BTMRR.

I agree with the others. I cannot handle drops, but I like RnRC, and I would say Mummy is just slightly less wild than that.

Thanks guys - I think we will be at Hollywood Studios first this trip so I will try that first. I have a new medical condition that I have been told could be a problem with coasters - but RnRC is one of my favs so if that goes well - I will consider Mummy a go! Appreciate the feedback

It's most similar to Gringotts I would think - though that probably doesn't help much.

The coaster portion is about as intense as rockin roller coaster minus the inversions. It makes up for it in sudden drops/turns/stops that lurch you out of your seat.
