i am searching online for multi disc dvd players, and i've found two from sony that i like... but, they don't list a feature that i want, and don't know if this is standard with multi disc players or not?

here is what i am looking for if anyone can help...

a good brand, multi-disc dvd player (hold at least 400 dvds)...

and, i would like to put in the names of each dvd, with a menu to pop up on the screen so i can choose a dvd by title, instead of #1, #2, #3, etc...

thanks for any help!

They make dvd players that hold 400 dvds?!

Do you really need something like this, Josh? Why dont you just keep the setup you have now?

^^ Aww, it's my two favorite boys ^^

My DVD player only holds 1 DVD at a time. That makes me seem technologically challenged. :lookaroun

It's expensive, but checkout the Escient Fireball system. You can wire it to DVD/CD changers. It will display the cover art and details about each disc and allow you to search for specific discs or type of movies.

OK, here's the workaround:

Decant the DVDs into a holder that can hold all 400 in minimum space, place that to one side of the bed / chair / sofa you choose to make your base of non-operations.

Place your DVD player either on top of the DVD storage (make sure you don't need to open the top of the storage to get to the DVDs. Otherwise place it on the other side, but make sure it does not interfere with the fridge and microwave you will have on that side.

Get some long leads to go from the DVD player's new location to your TV (trust me, these cables will be A LOT cheaper than a 400 disc change-o-matic DVD player).

Now relax, veg out with your DVD collection and keep your fluids topped up with beverages from the fridge and enjoy nourishing microwave meals. You will have to improvise your own bathroom arrangements.

I too am very lazy. I haven't got a huge multichanger, but any DVDs I like, I copy to my PC and can then access and watch them without the hassle of actually having to physically find the disc and put it in, because lets face it, that takes valuable seconds.

With a decent size hard-drive you can get loads of movies on it.

You had foot surgery before and didn't need a 400 disc dvd player. So why do you need one now??? Why not just buy a portable dvd player and move your dvd collection closer to your bed? It's cheaper, closer to your face, and you can move the dvd player where ever you want so that you and your foot are comfortable. Then use the money you saved by only buying a portable dvd player to buy a plane ticket to come and visit me - Jonnie and Jill, you guys can come too!

I'm sorry, but this is just silly ridiculous. For the amount of money, you could pay me to come over there and change the DVD's for you. It's a frivilous waste of money.
