Let me just add

When I was buying the ingredients to make the "olive salad" to go on the Muffuletta, I actually found the "olive salad" topping already made! So I figured what the heck I will just buy this, well I havent had the real thing but this topping was great! I'm sure you guys from N'awlins are saying yeah right. But I loved the already made topping! So, I had my fix til I can get down there to N'awlins! :slurp:

That do have them at POFQ and I thought it was OK, though the bread was not that great. Not sure if it is even close to the real deal as it is all I have tried.

I have never heard of this before, but I am intrigued. Can't even said I have ever had Olive Salad, but I will be taking a trip over to Port Orleans and see if they are still selling them. I know it will not be the same as the original from New Orleans itself, but will give me a taste.

Mey Cher' ------Google Olive Salad and order the Boscoli . I always make cocktail muffelattas for parties! Remember to spread some of the oil onto the bread.......yummy!

With all the meats and cheeses piled onto this sandwich, along with the olive salad and a whole round of sourdough loaf,,,,,

,,,, you've got to be an animal to eat a whole one !! :lol:

Usually you can order it, whole, half, or quartered.
