MTO Rate in October

Does anybody know if DCL typically offers military discounts in October. I'm thinking of going on a 3 day Bahamas cruise on 10/3 and want to know if I should hope for a discount. What are the military rates?

Lately, the majority of military rates have been for the classic ships. It's possible a MTO rate could show up in October for the Dream, but it's far from a sure thing.

The military rates vary by sailing. It's hard to predict what they'll be. They are much bigger discounts on the classic ships than the Dream. I could be forgetting one, but I'm not sure we've seen any for the Fantasy.

I can't recall seeing anything but the *GT rates on the Fantasy. FLR were pretty prolific on fall Dream sailings last year.

Ok so now we are thinking of doing the magic in February. Do you think a mto rate will be offerered on the magic at that time? Is there any rhyme or reason the mto rates are offered? Looking at either 2/21 or 2/28.

The rhyme or reason is that they are offered on sailings that don't sell well. Sometimes they come out really early, sometimes not until close to the sailing. So far, the Fantasy has not had any that I can remember. The Dream has been few and far between, but there are some. The Magic and Wonder are much more likely, and February is a good time for them. The wild card here is, what will the announcements on Friday do to the Magic bookings. I think they're going to sky rocket, but we'll see! :)
