Disney Springs is the testing grounds for the drone show, I don't think anything else drone related will be decided upon until they see decent results from the Disney springs show.@wdwmagic Are we still looking at an actual light parade and not drone related? I think you had already said it will be an actual parade? And I’m guessing you still can’t say when we will be getting it or when we it will be officially announced?

I think as long as that show has a good soundtrack and cool effects I suspect it will be very well received.
DS should have results from the Holiday Drone Show.

Drone shows have improved since then so whatever data they got out of that is not viable anymore.
It's not been unknown for Disney to change their plans leaving the tidbits and hints of the best-connected insiders to not come thru.
I hope they're putting up a new storage tent for it!!!Heard an update today - things are still looking good

Not thinking he’s wrong but it is odd why no other insiders or social media/bloggers are posting and talking about it. I suppose there could be a few reasons or a combination. It’s a strong secrecy thing, Nobody believes it’ll actually happen due to so many past rumors never coming to fruition, or it could be in the very early stages.

I’ve heard for awhile that they intend to have a light parade but Steve seems to be better connected with those directly familiar with the project.
Haven’t personally seen it although I’m sure it would be there otherwise.
They even cancel announced projects they started clearing the land for!!

Ageeed. But I don’t think they would get away with canceling an announcement of a light parade returning to WDW after so many years without major backlash.
