This was by far my favorite parade. MSEP and even Dreamlights as awesome as it is just doesn’t have that special feel as Spectro. One of my favorite parts of Spectro that I wish PTN had is the fog effects. The Mickey unit in Spectro was so awesome when the fog filled the street. I want so badly for MKs new nighttime parade to have a similar effect, but I do sadly question WDWs ability now a days to create a brand new parade as awesome and special as Spectro. I’d love to be wrong though!
I remember years ago, probably about seven or eight, it cost quite a bit less for me to go for one of those. The rate they have zoomed past inflation is nuts.
Kind of hoping that the house I'm moving to, not far from property, might just have a good view of these fireworks and other special event fireworks...

I remember less than that. On a CM night, it was $40 and I paid $60 for a non CM night. No crowds either. I miss those days.

I just noticed DLP must have got upgraded led parade route lighting similar to Disneylands for the Electrical Sky Parade. Why MK has yet to get these is beyond me, with the exception of the hub. Hopefully that changes in the future with new entertainment whether that be a light parade, drone show, HEA replacement.

They had colored parade lighting for some time now, its not new. For some reason only Tokyo & WDW have plain floodlights.

I knew I wasn't going crazy thinking Spectromagic's parade route from FL to MSUSA route wasn't just saved for the Walt Disney World Planning Videos from the 1990s.

After seeing the July 9, 1994 recording of Spectromagic. The parade's route from FL to MSUSA really created a beautiful shot for guests that viewed it from the middle section.
If you viewed the parade from Main Street Station and the middle of Main Street USA traveling down Cinderella Castle. You get a unique view of the parade route as seen in these screenshots. The old lighting for the castle really blended in with the parade's opening.

I knew they had parade route lighting but I do not believe they were LED until recently. Disneyland switched to all LED I believe following Covid. Adds a lot to Magic Happens at night.

Indeed. And as Iger pointed out this week, he believes they have already set the stage to offer guests something for the next couple of years with what they have recently opened, with Star Wars, EPCOT, TRON, and Tiana. The short term impact will be combated with entertainment.

Nighttime light parade aside which may not happen for awhile, are you able to comment on what other entertainment we might see in 2025? Or are they still trying to figure that out?

That poor MSEP really needs to be put out of it's misery.... They need to resurrect a 21st Century Spectromagic. Something all new and fresh...new lighting along the entire parade route, special effects sequences... really do something unique and jaw dropping... It is way past time....

Meanwhile DLR has two different parades running daily now with 2 nighttime parades in storage. TDO is truly filled with bean counters. Even Universal is getting a new parade this year.
