Well, there's an area at the Contemporary Resort called The Food and Fun Center. It's basically the entrance to the food court, and there's a play area/arcade set up, as well as a viewing area that's usually showing old Disney cartoons (and perhaps something currently on Disney Channel or Toon Disney, like House of Mouse). At least, that's what they were showing the few times I was there. They may also play full-length movies sometimes? :veryconfu

If this is not the place you're talking about, mickeyrob, feel free to correct me.

Now having said that, I don't really recall the first cartoon I ever saw there.

It used to be called the Fiesta Fun Center. Now I do believe it goes by the Food & Fun Center.

Either way, they no longer have the movies there, I remember watching movies there all the time...

If it is still there, (and stays there after the CR refurb is completely done) I'll have to go check it out.

Sounds awesome!

It still rings up as Fiesta Fun Center on guests folios...I remember printing one out once and it had a Fiesta Fun Center charge on it and I was like what in the heck is that?! And I worked there. :lookaroun I think you're right though, for all intensive purposes, it is the Food & Fun Center.

Not too sure if this is what you are talking about but here it goes. One of my initial trips to WDW in the late 1970s during my father's business annual convention, I remember it was with my younger sister and our cousin. We were put on this floor in the Contemporary and we had a pizza and pop party or something with some cast members and some characters.

It was The Jungle Book being shown on a projector screen. The Jungle Book was on two reels, I think, and was shown on an old film projector.

I also remember vividly drinking a whole can of Pepsi and then tearing the metal can in two. Hey, when you were 8, 9, and 10, drinking a can of soda was big back then. No parents in sight, except for CMs.

Is this what you were talking about? But I remember it was on the fifth or sixth floor of the Contemporary, It was not on the ground floor.

Regardless, it was awesome. It was a great experience. We had about 12 kids from all over the United States at screening. I think my mom showed up at one point to check on me and my sister and our cousin.
