...2 weeks and saved $400 this morning! My wife and I are now going on our 7-night Western 9/5/15 and hopefully the money we saved will cover our airfare. Maybe we can pull off one last trip with the kids after they graduate in 2017 afterall...

If your dates are flexible, check the new dates!

Well you took yourself out of peak season and put yourself into Hurricane season so the saving would be expected...

Actually, hurricane season runs June to November. The most active part of the season when for the US to be impacted is typically late August thru mid October. ;)
I purposely just moved our cruise to September based on hurricane season; they did say their peak season ends in August so I just assumed it coincided with Hurricane Season. That and apparently Bahamian waters are warmer then...I couldn't do Castaway Cay in May when the Gulf is already 78 degrees...

Yeah, I think anything before Labor Day is considered a busier travel season. I've lived in Florida and along the Gulf coast region all but the first 18 months of my life. Hurricanes are just part of living. Not a big deal. We really enjoy sailing in the fall even during the storm season. We don't worry about sailing in a storm as much as we worry about one messing up our home while we're gone. I found the water at CC a bit chilly in January but we brought spring suits in anticipation. May wasn't awful. September is so warm. I love that time. :)

Our first Disney cruise was 9/25ish/11 and the cruise last year was 8/25/13 so we're used to sailing this time of year. I've also lived w/in 100 miles of VA Beach for the majority of my life so I'm used to hurricane season (which runs from June to November like Sweetpee said). The Gulf/Caribbean typically fire up first because they heat up more quickly than the Atlantic breeding grounds. The water at Castaway is nice and the savings are even nicer. We'd planned to go after Labor Day originally, but Disney is being stingy w/the release of dates this year. Kids in my area don't go back to school until after Labor Day and that's why the prices drop after the holiday (like the $ at Myrtle Beach and most other touristy locations).

Was just passing on to others w/flexible dates to check for lower prices...

Pretty sure the Labor Day schedule has been out for about a week or so...which, is actually earlier than the late June / Early July response you would have gotten even two weeks ago.
