Move Over, Hot Dog Days!

I don't know that anyone is taking this seriously--at least I'm not. I just find it weird that Disney is touting this as a 3-day celebration when there is nothing different or special about buying your chicken dinner July 6-8 as opposed to any other day. Knott's is also doing a fried chicken promotion, but you get 10% off the price. Disney is doing nothing out of the ordinary and calling it a celebration. It's not a big deal; I just think it's odd.
Disney jumping on that social media hash-tag hype that the youth love. They're the only ones who give a rip about any of these, frankly arbitrary and made up "national _______" days. This is Disney's attempt to be more youthful, while ironically doing absolutely nothing different than normal.

This is very exciting!

Fried Chicken Celebration.
Churro Challenge.
Pixar Fest
Pixar Pier

This has been one overwhelmingly titillating year at the DLR. And we're only half done!

I can't even begin to imagine what's next.
I hear July 17-24 will be Disneyland Days. Have the honor of paying full-price for a ticket, and, if you bring a friend, they'll be able to pay full-price for their ticket, too! It's gonna be soooo magical!!

Is there a button involved? I don't need a pin or t-shirt; a button would be plenty.

The most jarring thing about this is that they literally announced nothing. What will be operationally different about this weekend than any other weekend? Discounts? Decor? Merchandise? I joke that the DPB articles say nothing but this time they actually said nothing.

their mission is the same as it ever was: sell

Just shows how the Disney community is pathetic. Let's get excited about institutional prepared chicken they serve everyday.

Costco has some good dogs if you like em with girth. Steak n Shake has good dogs if you like em long. My college has deep fried hot dogs in the made-to-order cafeteria which are pretty good. I haven't had Portillo's in a long time but I remember them having really good dogs.

It's just so pointless it's funny. And then you stop to think of the execs who got paid way too much money to come up with it.

It's National Pie Day.

Knott's is celebrating by appearing on KTLA Channel 5 News in a few minutes with Snoopy, Pig Pen and others. Sam Rubin is looking forward to the tasting......
