Got to admit that Plaza Inn fried chicken is really delicious!
Y'all are probably going to hate me, but I think the Plaza Inn has better fried chicken than Knott's.

Flo’s has some of the worst fried chicken I have ever had. They are small, dry, and taste like something you would find in a frozen meal. Stick with the Plaza Inn fried chicken.

You can try it out yourself. It was nothing special and kind of underwhelming. To be honest, the fried chicken they use to sell at the Tomorrowland terrace was better. That’s too bad. I was hoping I had a new fried chicken spot to add to the rotation.
The most jarring thing about this is that they literally announced nothing. What will be operationally different about this weekend than any other weekend? Discounts? Decor? Merchandise? I joke that the DPB articles say nothing but this time they actually said nothing.
Anyway I love fried chicken. Slightly cannibalistic I know I know.
I think people would view this blog post as less of a joke if they weren't trying to hashtag it and make it seem like an actual event. You do know that July 6th really is National Fried Chicken Day (which is referenced in the blog post):
https://nationaldaycalendar.com/national-fried-chicken-day-july-6/
So while you may think this is a nothing announcement, but its to highlight the resorts fried chicken offerings for those that may not know.
excuse you i am in fact a tower of terrorFirst Bob Chapek came for my Tower of Terror, and I did not speak out - for I am not a Tower of Terror.
Then Bob Chapek came for my California Screamin', and I did not speak out - for am I not a California Screamin'.
Then Bob Chapek came for my Hot Dog Days, and I burned the world to the ground.
They made a logo for it... they're trying to make it a thing. When it isn't a thing. And shouldn't be a thing. Let fried chicken exist in peace!!You do know that July 6th really is National Fried Chicken Day (which is referenced in the blog post):

Disneyland's fried chicken always tasted industrial school cafeteria like to me. Knotts is much better.
True, but Disney is making it a 'celebration' that lasts 3-days, not just the actual day. Disney has highlighted park food in connection with national days before, but that was along the lines of "in honor of National Root Beer Float Day, come get a float at Gibson Girl." This is pushing an event (not really an event) which is a month away. It just seems odd, and not much of anything. You do know that July 6th really is National Fried Chicken Day (which is referenced in the blog post):

It's easier for me to go to Knotts than Disneyland. Way less people and friendlier employees too.The problem with Knott's fried chicken is that you have to go there to eat it.

EDIT: it's not a month away; I clearly can't count, but it's still a nothing-burger.
I don't know that anyone is taking this seriously--at least I'm not. I just find it weird that Disney is touting this as a 3-day celebration when there is nothing different or special about buying your chicken dinner July 6-8 as opposed to any other day. Knott's is also doing a fried chicken promotion, but you get 10% off the price. Disney is doing nothing out of the ordinary and calling it a celebration. It's not a big deal; I just think it's odd.Disney is just using the weekend instead of a single day. Its suppose to be silly and fun and not taken so seriously.
