You can try it out yourself. It was nothing special and kind of underwhelming. To be honest, the fried chicken they use to sell at the Tomorrowland terrace was better.

So while you may think this is a nothing announcement, but its to highlight the resorts fried chicken offerings for those that may not know.

I don't see it any different than any other no nothing day that Disney celebrates. Anyways, is it silly sure, but its fun and doesn't really harm anyone (other than the chickens
).

Not to be outdone, Knott's is getting in on the fried chicken extravaganza-palooza game themselves. If they play their cards right, I bet this could grow to outshine the Boysenberry Festival in a year or two!

The problem with Knott's fried chicken is that you have to go there to eat it.

True, but Disney is making it a 'celebration' that lasts 3-days, not just the actual day. Disney has highlighted park food in connection with national days before, but that was along the lines of "in honor of National Root Beer Float Day, come get a float at Gibson Girl." This is pushing an event (not really an event) which is a month away. It just seems odd, and not much of anything.
EDIT: it's not a month away; I clearly can't count, but it's still a nothing-burger.

It's easier for me to go to Knotts than Disneyland. Way less people and friendlier employees too.

I don't know that anyone is taking this seriously--at least I'm not. I just find it weird that Disney is touting this as a 3-day celebration when there is nothing different or special about buying your chicken dinner July 6-8 as opposed to any other day. Knott's is also doing a fried chicken promotion, but you get 10% off the price. Disney is doing nothing out of the ordinary and calling it a celebration. It's not a big deal; I just think it's odd.
