Move It! Shake It! to Run at Night

Aren't you talking about the various spots they offered projections? I know the best spot was in the hub by the castle, but didn't they also project them onto IASW, Main Street buildings, and maybe water fans on the Rivers of America? Maybe the Matterhorn? They sure did a great job trying to pull some of the crowds into other areas of the park. But dang. It's hard to deny just how great it was in front of the castle. A remarkable melding of projection show will full on fireworks show. (I hope that's the sort of thing coming to the MK).
That is what I was talking about....given that the projections were put there, I really thought the show was designed to be seen from those areas as well. It sounds like @marni1971 knows better than I do, though. Regardless of intent, we enjoyed the different perspectives.

Perhaps they booked a Disney trip after seeing commercials and online videos of attractions like 7DMT, Splash Mountain, Frozen Ever After and parades like MSEP. So then they do click on the big picture of whats going in the park and with the staggering amount of info and planning needed, they felt overwhelmed.

So when trying to plan their FP+ they wondered why the site/MDE app kept giving them selections with People Mover and Carousel of Progress as 2 of their 3 selections for FP+. In an effort to understand, they call a friend or family member who has visited to get advice. The friend/family member helps out and also tells them about seeing MSEP at the end of the night and how great it was. They tell them to get there early to get a good spot. If that fried/family member is not a Disney aficionado (which most arent) they wont realize that the parade is no longer there after their visit last year or 2 years ago or 5 years ago. So the person planning doesnt think much of it when they dont see it on the times guide (if they even use it). Shame on them though. What a moron for not wanting to create spreadsheets and uber plan every minute of their trip and simply trusting their friends advice.
agree with you on the first part.
lets remember how inflated the DHS park is, they are announcing like star wars land was open. and they only added a darn fashion show, fireworks and a store.

lets remember how inflated the DHS park is, they are announcing like star wars land was open. and they only added a darn fashion show, fireworks and a store.

Why do people feel the need to over exaggerate to make a point?

1. There was no deceptive advertising by Disney, unless you'd like to post a link to one? If people couldn't sort out what was announced as starting to be built and what was added in the interim, then that's on them. People show up at DHS looking for Potter. Their lack of attention is not Disney's fault.

2. The 'fashion show' is an alternative to a parade. A parade is a fashion show, too. Characters smile and wave as they pass by. Instead of a decorated float, you get the movie clips on the stage.

3. Fireworks: That's a heck of a big thing. A really big thing for a park. It's a new evening show and you slip into a list like it's stale bread? Come on. You're overreacting.

4. A store: Are you referring to Launch Bay? It's not a store. And if you're not referring to Launch Bay, why skip it in the list?

5. You're forgetting: the Storm Trooper show of force; the M&Gs of Chewie, Kylo, Troopers, and Jawas; and the upgraded Jedi Academy; and the updated Star Tours.

There are a lot of Star Wars fans enjoying DHS as it is even with all the admittedly ad hoc attractions. And there was no bait and switch involved.

Here's an idea... Let's take Festival of Fantasy and put that at night and have Move It, Shake It be the 3:00 parade. To make it a grand parade, add a few floats. FoF is awesome to start with, add some lights and fuel up the dragon and you got yourself a nighttime parade!
The FOF floats would look very good with light added on imho. The balloon and the peterpan ones particularly.

Why do people feel the need to over exaggerate to make a point?

Except I didn't.
There were quite a few people claiming "oh star wars is open.. oh wait it isn't" After watching the overhyped ads of DHS when Launchbay was open.

Also, minimal stage show vs parade.. they are completely different animals (Fashion show vs Full parade with music).

Launch bay is a store, isn't it? a Themed store, but a store nonetheless. Maybe with a bit of hint of collectibles store for hardcore fans(including replicas of movie stuff).

Cant comment on M&G's because they are the lowest denominators of entertainment.

Fireworks is the only real good addition that took quite a bit. I'm extremely thankful we're finally out of that darn Frozen debacle.

Yeah I guess there are at least two people here who are willing to settle for mediocrity.

Remember when TWDC had Florida Park that was bold and innovative? I guess you don't.
Why make this a personal attack? Some will enjoy it, others will not. In the same vein, some do not have a historical point of reference.

Some people enjoy Steakums over a Porterhouse, what's your point? (These people are idiots) The fact that the level of expectations has been lowered so much by TWDC to normalize this level of "crap" is sad. I feel bad for the people that are willing to excuse this and settle because they have no context to refer to. I guess it was bound to happen after close to two decades of decline.

You state above that some people may have "No Context to refer to" and yet you still call them idiots? That, in a nut shell, is my point.

No historical context is needed. Your assumption is that people by default are unable to determine whether or not what they are being offered is a quality product. This assumption fails to consider that most people can gauge the level of quality versus their expectations and make a judgement based on that. Again some people have very low expectations, hence their willingness to settle for Steakums, while others expect a porterhouse, especially when paying for one.

And yes these people that are willing to compromise their standards are idiots.

So, everyone should have your standards. Got it. Out of curiosity, talking parades, have you seen the one at USF? Apple's to Apples, $$$ to $$$. Who wins that,
