Mother Gothel at Disney Parks

Ah, Maleficent, NOW you're talking villains!

As for Gothel: Let's see, she found a flower that bestowed eternal youth. The King's soldiers STOLE IT FROM HER (unknowingly, but still - do you think they'd have let her keep it in any case?) She then tries to cut a strand of hair from the baby, but the power fades when she does, so she steals the kid. Yeah, bad Gothel, but her motives were actually understandable and even a little sympathetic. She's a far cry from Maleficent. I think of her as a lesser Cruella.

Eh...well to each his own. I've personally found the tragic villains much more interesting.

Mother Gothel would be a great meet n greet character! Wish Disney would've brought her to the parks. And what about Maleficent? She never makes any appearances anymore.:(

There will be a maleficent m&g at hollywood studios after the novie comes out.

I don't think she is the weakest, I think shes great. If i'm totally honest you have villains like Frollo making park appearances and in my opinion as evil as he may be. He is not a memorable villain. Mother gothel on the other hand with her sassy diva like style .... she would make an amazing meet and greet!
Just out of curiosity, how is Frollo NOT a memorable villain?

God bless the "Ignore" button.
She and Lady Tramaine have a rather similar sense of the "evil step-mother" vibe, just Gothel is much MUCH more flamboyant about it. That'd be a heck of a lot of fun to interact with.

It's one of the two story tellers that dresses up as her during the show..

It's all performed as a comedic retelling of the Rapunzel story where Rapunzel plays herself and those two guys play various other roles. It's really quite a fun show. Likewise with the Beauty and the Beast show that is done in the same style at the same place.

Frollo is memorable and creepy, the rest of the film isn't that great. Disney making Hugo's "Hunchback" always struck me as an odd move.

No stranger than making the Jungle Book. Fun fact- the girl at the end of the movie? In the book, she's killed as a witch for flirting with Mowgli, so Mowgli gets the elephants to kill everyone in the village. FUN.

As for Gothel, she's brassy AND vicious. Good combo for a villain.

Wow. What. Never knew that. Then, I've never read very much in the way of Kipling.

In all honesty....No guest would figure out who she was if she was just standing there...sorry..

Thank god they never went into sequel territory and had Melody running around....Yeesh...

I would love to see Melody and Ariel!!!

I know this is just a bit too far fetched now - but if we could get a Mermaid Lagoon like in Tokyo with a meet and greet with Ariel and all her sisters! OMG!! lol

So back to subject - does anyone think they will ever have a Mother Gothel face character? I mean Dr Facillier gets one and I think Mother Gothel is more memorable
