Mother-daughter weekend

I am planning on a long weekend with my adult daughter to celebrate my birthday. She is a fairly new CM and I'm pretty much letting her plan the entire time. We have been to the parks many times and I know we will do the favorite rides. But I wanted to see if there is any hidden gem or more unusual thing to do that we may have not done before. I know we will be spending time at Epcot's Flower and Garden show and we have reservations for the spa at Saratoga Springs. I've heard of the cupcake crawl and the monorail crawl. Any other suggestions will be much appreciated.

I will be having the same kind of weekend soon! My oldest will be starting in the CP soon and her sister and I will be going down for a long weekend a few weeks after she starts. We have no clue how much time we will be able to spend with her but when is free we will do what we can. I cant wait....37 more days!! Hope you and your DD have a great weekend!!!

I think the spa is an excellent idea and maybe a really nice dinner like at California Grill or Jiko. I am so happy for you, I'm dreaming of the day I do this with my daughter.

You could each Pick A Pearl at the Japan Pavillion and get matching necklace settings to remember your trip. I have never done it but I read about it on these boards and look forward to trying it on our next trip.

My favorite mother-daughter activity in WDW is the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. My mom & I went to it last May and we had a great time. We had little sandwiches, desserts, berries...it's so good. The atmosphere is really pretty too. It's something we're planning on doing anytime we are there together.

I'm more of a Segway person than a "tea" lady, so I'd recommend a Segway tour. the Epcot one during the Flower & Garden show is really neat (do the first one in the morning, so you can do WS with no one there). We've also done the FW ne, and that was great fun too!
