I agree that Emperor's New Groove and Atlantis are on the list but so is Hunchback as I consider it to be one of the best!!!

Emperor's New Groove is by far one of my fav Disney movies. I wish the parks would incorporate some part of it, but it seems swept under the rug. I felt the humor and scarcasm was probably too much for young kids to understand but i thought it was great. It was actually on the Disney Channel 3 days ago... Tivo'd it :)

Under: Emporer's New Groove- the funniest set of characters in and Disney Movie, and I would put Kronk up against Genie from Alladin as the funniest character ever. My whole family loves it (including the kids) I just don't understand why it isn't more popular.

Over: Don't really have one. There are some films that I don't like as well as others, but I like them all.

So many underrated:
Atlantis, TENG, Hunchback and Pocahontas (they're not THAT politcaly correct), Brother Bear, Mulan

Overrated? None really imo. If Nemo was done by Disney I'd pick that...

Most underrated? Hands-down, The Rescuers Down Under. The art of that film blows my mind. The fact that they can take a character like Marahute and draw her so detailed, so graceful, and so life-like just has me in awe. The beautiful landscapes, the sweeping camera shots... Cody and Marahute flying over the edge of the waterfall is (IMHO) one of the most beautiful shots in any Disney film. And the score is gorgeous! Bruce Broughton deserves heaps of attention for it. It fits so well with the grace and majesty of Marahute. That soundtrack gets regular play in my CD player - the track "Cody's Flight" in particular.

I think there are some possible ties:

Under: Oliver and Company, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Sword in the Stone, The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound, and Brother Bear...maybe The Emperor's New Groove.

Over: Lilo and Stitch (by far...because take for example how much they have been pushing it in Florida with SGE and the sequels being made and the tv series as well)

Underrated: The Fox and the Hound, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, (Disney basically only acknowledges these three when it's time to sell a DVD or VHS, although Robin gets the occasional character around the parks) Sword in the Stone, The Emperor's New Groove, Treasure Planet.

Overrated: Beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo (it IS a Disney/Pixar collaboration).

Another vote for Emperor's New Groove. I think one of the possible reasons it was not a bigger hit was the name. It just strikes me as clumsy. But the film itself is great. I'm also a big fan of Atlantis - some great characterisation in that.

Whilst Rescuers Down Under is not overall a fave of mine, the timing of the animation with Joanna stealing the bad guys eggs from his lunch is animation at it's best.

I used to think Aladdin was overrated - it could not live up to the hype. But it's one that has VERY grown on me :D

You know, I missed Atlantis on theaters, only managed to watch it on DVD, and it really didn't please me. I thought there were too many characters for a relatively short movie.
An attempt from my Dad to bring DVD's home, though, ended up on me acquiring the film. And now, every time I watch it, it gets better. I guesse with multiple viewings you have time to concentrate on the different characters, so you're able to absorb them all.
And its sequel is VERY good. Sort of like The X Files meets Scooby-Doo. It extends on some of the characters. It'd have make a great Disney show, much better than some of the stuff the Disney CHannel has on nowadays.
