America The Beautiful, Flight To The Moon And the TOMORROWLAND Skyway. Why is Tomorrowland about Buzz and Stitch? And while I'm thinking of it I swear my Dad used to be able to get a cold beer in a plastic cup at the Tommorrowland Terrace.
You could call tomorrowland pixar land now it seems :(

I have never seen beer in the MK. I remember my dad being very fond of world showcase at Epcot as a kid for that reason. My last trip there I did see a guy walk up to the front gate and try to get in carrying a red plastic cup filled with beer. Security was all over him. I didn't stick around to see what happened.

You would think that security would have better things to do than harass a guy with one beer in a cup.

Maybe they had something against imported beer? :D

But, as others have said, I don't remember ever seeing beer in the MK. And don't expect to either.....

In defense of security it definitely was not his first of the day. The first guard he came to at the bag screening area said to him "sir, we don't allow alcohol in the Magic Kingdom". He slurred some kind of response that I couldn't understand. That drew a crowd. It didn't look like he planned to back down. I left before the final outcome since I witnessed this on the way out. My first thought was where did this guy come from. He had to get off of the monorail. No way he got on a parking shuttle and a boat without being flagged by someone. He could have slipped onto the monorail at one of the resorts.

My most-missed, in no particular order:
  • 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Yes, the "sea creatures" were lame, and no, the undersea illusion wasn't perfect (you could always see the surface of the water, no mater how deep you were supposed to be), but this was such an ambitious attraction. The ride vehicles were by far the most beautiful ever designed for Walt Disney World. The lagoon itself provided an attractive water feature to Fantasyland, and the slow crawl of the subs around the lagoon was pleasantly kinetic.
  • Horizons. What needs to be said? Maybe the most-lamented of all lost WDW atttractions, and the one that best represented the optimistic futurism of early EPCOT Center. Mission:Space would be less hated by fanbois if it hadn't replaced this one.
  • Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. The weirdest (in a good way) ride at WDW. Of course, they still have it in Anaheim, but without the unique two-track, two-different-experiences layout that we had here in Orlando.
  • World of Motion. I really miss World of Motion: the classic Marc Davis show scenes, the immense number of AAs, the ethereal beauty of the CenterCore finale. Test Track is not worthy to stand on the same plot of ground.
  • Journey into Imagination. A third devastating Future World loss, suggesting that of all areas of WDW, Future World has suffered the worst depredation over the years. Childlike in the best possible sense, Journey into Imagination was nonetheless a very sophisticated experience.
  • If You Had Wings. Back in the coupon-book days, it was a freebie. There was never a wait. It was COOL, both literally and figuratively. Its loss was not on the scale of 20k or Horizons or even Toad, but I miss it still, and to this day I have flashbacks when I hit the Buzz Lightyear speed tunnel.
Honorable mentions: The Skyway; El Rio del Tiempo; The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter.

I never got to ride World of Motion :( Are you saying Test Track is bad in general, or bad compared to WOM

20,000 Leagues, Mr. Toad, Snow White, and the gondola that took you from fantasy land to tomorrow land.

Ditto, I agree completely. While I'm excited about the new fantasyland I still remember 20000 leagues and I'm sad my wife never got to experience any of them except snow

The name is slipping my mind, but that thing and it was a walkthrough exhibit more so, than a ride in EPCOT and it had those paintbrushes so you could paint Figment and all that cool stuff? I wasn't alive during it, but still it looked cool! HISTA, and Snow White were really the only things I got to experience before closing and the old Test Track.
I wish I could have been to River Country before it closed, it looked like so much fun! I'd love to go do some exploring there now, though..

i miss HISTA aswell. although i do like EO, HISTA was just something else. the music was pretty funky.
i would have also have liked to have gone on 20k. i have photos of me when i was little meeting characters on the old queue deck, with the lagoon in the background. i didn't even take any notice of the lagoon and i wish i had!
timekeeper was also a classic. robin williams was brilliant as timekeeper. if they had just added some seats into the theatre (which i know would have ruined the 360 degree thing), even some benches that you could swivel on, i'm sure that timekeeper would still be a good attraction now.
i also miss the Living Seas pre Nemo. it was awesome thinking you were actually going under water into seabase alpha. now you get a crappy nemo thing which is just pointless.
and finally i must also express my sadness of PotC pre jack sparrow. i know that mr sparrow has bought a lot of dough to the disney empire, but come on, do we really need him in the ride? his parts don't even make sense! and he has a scarf around his neck (i know it's because of the join in his neck/body). barbossa also needs to go. whats the point of adding 2 characters? saying that, i suppose it could have been worse. we could have had the entire crew of the black pearl added in somewhere and a dodgy elizabeth swann and william turner added too.

I'd have to say Snow White, since it's the only one of the closed attractions I experienced. However, I do wish I had had the opportunity to see Horizons and Wonders of Life.

#3. Body Wars
Apparantly too intense and disguisting for most people, from what I remember I remember going on it a thousands times over and over again in one day.

#1. Cranium Command
I loved this show sooo much!! :) I didn't even get it but for some reason it was very entertaining. Now I can youtube it and understand most of the jokes.

-WondersOfLife

The last original pavilion.

These two may be all that I really miss. (But I never caught Horizons or forgot it in the midst of the honeymoon.) I guess if you throw in The Making of Me I'll just say all of Wonders of Life...

On the other hand, el Rìo del Tiempo, hasta la vista, baby!

Sounds like the Image Works, upstairs at Imagination.

The original Journey into Imagination is my #1. My family and I could ride that over and over and over again. There was always so much to look at. It was just a really special ride. The current attraction there is such a poor replacement.

I also miss Mr Toad's. We always loved that. Usually part of our family would take one line and the rest the other and hopefully we'd get on at about the same time. Was so fun. And the ride itself was crazy, in a good way.

My family also really loved River Country. It was unique. It's sad how they are just leaving it to fall in disrepair. I can't even imagine how disgusting the water is there.

I'm not a big Michael Jackson fan so I wish they hadn't put in Captain EO over Honey but it's not that big of a deal to me in general.
