Most missed closed Disney attractions?

You are right..its pretty amazing how that ride works.

An old friend of mine was a WDW Marketing Exec when the MS opened. He told me during cast member previews and soft open testing, that 1 in every 5 people would experience motion sickness. Do the math; the odds were you would be riding with someone that would get ill. Based on what he was told and his personal ride experiences, the intensity was dialed back significantly after the first few days of previews; even today's intense version is much tamer than when it was first turned on.

Thats pretty crazy. I dont think the ride would have been nearly as successful if they didn't tame it down a notch.

Are we counting rides that have been re-themed or altered?

If so, I really miss Spaceship Earth and the non-PC, pre-Sparrow, Pirates Of The Caribbean. I like the Pirates franchise and really enjoy Depp's character but I miss the attraction the way it was. I would argue that the changes imposed altered these into entirely different rides.

Totally agree with Horizons, World of Motion, & Journey Into Imagination (Boring old EPCOT wasn't that bad after all, was it?)

Horizons, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Journey Into Imagination, Superstar Television, Timekeeper.

Honestly, Disney's list in four parks isn't much worse than Universal...

Back to the Future, Kongfrontation, Jaws, Jimmy Neutron, Hannah Barbarra, Dueling Dragons.

I'm 14 so I can only judge on a few.. here's my top 5

#5. Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
Not hating. I particularly like Captain EO better (No hating on that half either please). But I enjoyed HISTA alot and I wouldn't mind it still being there in place of EO. I like them bost pretty much the same. Both are outdated but still entertaining.

#4. Food Rocks
I was in love with this AA show. I know that barely anyone knew/knows/liked this show at all but I was one of the few. I never missed a day at EPCOT without seeing it. But now I don't mind missing Soarin' as it's not worth the lines and trouble to get early for fastpasses. Soarin's queue should have just somehow started at the Circle of Life entrance.

#3. Body Wars
Apparantly too intense and disguisting for most people, from what I remember I remember going on it a thousands times over and over again in one day.

#2. Snow White's Scary Adventures
Sad that I can put this on the list. ): I love dark rides, and even tho it's getting a brand new ride it doesn't help to know that it's being replaced with some more meet and greets.

#1. Cranium Command
I loved this show sooo much!! :) I didn't even get it but for some reason it was very entertaining. Now I can youtube it and understand most of the jokes.

I didn't even know I've been on 5 attractions that I remember that don't exist.. wow :)

I'll throw in "Tarzan Rocks"; one of my most missed shows. And I'll throw in another vote for "Cranium Command".

best rides that are no longer running: JII, WoM, Horizons. Special tip of the hat to JII for having the most horrible replacement.

...but, most missed -- If You Had Wings. In the good old 80s, my brother and I used to loop it in the afternoon when our parents were relaxing at the hotel.

I miss 20,000 leagues under the sea. I know it was totally dated and the special effects were lame, but as a child i loved this ride. I really was so upset that they removed it. They could have refurbed it like they did in DL.

Pleasure Island closing in a whole was not a good move.

I totally agree. I made 3 trips to WDW as a young adult (19, 21 and 23) while it was open. We stayed until closing every night. I don't know how we still got up for 8am park openings. I guess I am just old now.

Journey into Imagination is the #1 thing I miss the most, as well as everything following the ride. I do miss Horizons, World of Motion, the Living Seas, 20K, Delta Dreamflight, and the Skyway.

America The Beautiful, Flight To The Moon And the TOMORROWLAND Skyway. Why is Tomorrowland about Buzz and Stitch? And while I'm thinking of it I swear my Dad used to be able to get a cold beer in a plastic cup at the Tommorrowland Terrace.

I loved Riverdance when it was on at Epcot and the Old Maelstrom where you thought you was going over the edge but now they have changed it, its just not the same. Same with Stitch, its just not the same. Honey I shrunk the audience was world class. As previous stated Epcot has lost a lot.
