Most Memorable Moment

I don't think I could narrow it down to just one. For me every moment is amazing. But keep 'em coming. I love reading threads like this. I too always get teary eyed. This is what it's all about people.
Agreed! There ARE so many memories.....

I always remember getting the ferry boat to return to the TTC at the end of another great day at MK. It is dark all around, everyone is hot and tired, and then someone breaks into a song! Seconds later the sound fills the whole boat! (as I lower my sunglases to hide tear in my eye).

There have been many similar situations on WDW buses on the return to our resorts at the end of the evening also.

A memory I always get have is on our last day at the park before returning to the UK (normaly MK). When we leave the park to head to the resort bus stops, I always stop for a minute and watch people getting on the ferry, and hear the Monorail passing overhead and promise to myself that whatever happens, we will return...

My 7 and 13-year-old nieces and I were in Epcot one night about 45 minutes before park closing when Jac (7) discovers the Kidcot stops and that each country has one with a different stamp and paper cutout for the mask she had made. We decide we must get them all. So we go running through the streets of various countries on our own little scavenger hunt. We were down to just needing Italy (and a long overdue bathroom break) with just three minutes until IllumiNations. We finished just in time to find a spot to watch the show. As I sat there exhausted, watching with Jac in my lap and Maddie leaning on my shoulder a wonderful feeling of fullness and contentment came over me. It is often that I feel so tired at the end of the day but it isn’t that often I feel so good about it. After we got back to the hotel and looked at the map we realized that the stops were marked on it, but we agreed if we had it to do again we would throw the map away. The search was more fun. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

...Then a little later, the cast members started making announcements that they might close the ride due to the upcoming storm. Just as we were about to get on the ride, they closed it. They said we could either stay & wait out the storm, or leave. We had waited in line too long to just ditch it, and we were practically underground, so we stayed. We were in the area that leads to the loading area where the floor is an an incline, you know? The storm started, & we could see the lamps overhead swaying from the wind & some of us stood on the railing to get a better view. It was fun. We talked & joked. Then once the storm ended about 10 minutes later, the ride started up again & we rode it...
That ride is involved in another of my fav. Disney moments. Just as the last car was loaded on BTMRR, the sky split open and it started pouring. We thought they were going to make us get off but as the ride started, a CM announced, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has just become a water ride!" It was scary (afraid of sliding out of the seat), wetter than wet and exciting. I was sitting in the car behind my husband and I could hear him squealing in delight like a small child. Of course, they shut the ride right after us, but it was the greatest ride of the whole trip!

The most memorable moment last year was when my family and I was sitting and waiting for Fantasmic to start. It had been a rather dry week for July and everyone decided to leave their rain poncho at the resort.

Everyone but me that is...

Well, it started to rain and everyone was trying to shield themselves from the rain with their hands. I calmy removed my rain poncho from my pack as I made some reference to alway being prepared.

They all ducked into MY poncho.

So there was me, my wife, my daughter and her cousin trying to fit under one poncho. This was especially important to the 11 and 12 year old girls since they had earlier had their face painted.

The rain subsided and we were able to watch the show under a clear sky. But before we were able to enjoy the show, we had to stop laughing at the two girls. In an attempt to protect the artwork that adorned my daughters face...she hogged must of the poncho...pushing her cousin out from beneath the poncho and leaving her completely wet and her face painting running all over her face.

During the Magic Kingdom's 15th anniversary my family was entering Epcot, Then EPCOT Center. To the right of the park entrance were a bunch of cars and trucks on pedestals. Just as we were getting to the gate everybody started cheering for the guy entering in front of my sister. He won one of the cars by being the X person to enter the park that day. Needless to say my sister who was 12 years old was devastated.

The moment I remember the most fondly took place a few years ago. It was a horribly hot & humid day @ the Magic Kingdom. My family & I had gotten in line for Big Thunder & the line was just as long as ever. We noticed peculliar-looking clouds heading our way, but we didn't pay that much attention to them. Anyway, about halfway through line, the clouds covered the sun. Then a little later, the cast members started making announcements that they might close the ride due to the upcoming storm. Then once the storm ended about 10 minutes later, the ride started up again & we rode it. Then we noticed that the temparature had dropped 15 degrees & the park had practically cleared out. I tell ya, that storm was a Godsend.

I love it when that happens! It rained at MGM one day after we rode the back lot tour and we were under the cover of the restaurant it empties out into (can't remember name?) and it POURED! Everyone went home, for about 4 hours that day it felt like we had the park to ourselves! We even got a great front row seat for the Stars and Cars parade.
