MissionSpaceFan - That's an awesome story! My daughter is fine now, too. There really, truly is something magical about WDW. The lift it gives your spirit is not something you can ever explain to someone who has never experienced it. They don't call it the happiest place on earth for nothing!!!

I don't think I could narrow it down to just one. For me every moment is amazing. But keep 'em coming. I love reading threads like this. I too always get teary eyed. This is what it's all about people.

I was just posting a reply to another thread about Character Experiences, and it made me want to go one step further.

What was your most memorable moment at Walt Disney World, ever?

Mine was stepping out of the entrance onto Main Street USA for the first time and seeing the castle. As cheesy as it sounds, I was 18 and had always dreamed about going to Walt Disney World my whole life. It was even better than I imagined, there were the Main Street vehicles out, silver mickey balloons, the train whistle blowing, characters in the front square, and the street performers. That is always the first image in my mind when I think about The Magic Kingdom.

That sounds just like one of my memorable moments...only I was in my 30s...

I was walking in slow motion with my mouth agap...

My most memorable moment happened in Feb of this year. My 6 yr old son, the train fanatic, decided to ride in the back of the train instead of the front at MK. The conductor, Tim, saw my son sitting in the back of the train on the single seat. He asked him if he wanted to help! My son very eagerly said yes. He got to say "All Aboard!" in his best little conductor voice. The people on the train clapped and cheered him on! Then he was announced and got to press the button to start the spiel! I was so proud of him and he was excited to get a card that said he was a train co-conductor.

Thank you all for sharing! These are my favorite types of threads too! I like the news and updates as well, but its the emotional connection with WDW that is so important to me.

I just thought of one of my most memorable moments. When I was a kid I was watching the piano player at Casey's Corner with my family when he asked if I wanted to try and play. I was so nervous but I played a song that I had memorized and with all that adrenaline I played it pretty well. Everyone stood up and cheered. I was walking on air the rest of the night.

Yes, there is. Its Brings smiles to everyone around, and thats the greatest joy on earth.

My most memorable moment was probably back in 99 when I went to MGM Studios. We knew something was going on when the crowd was buzzing with excitment as everyone was standing on the sidewalks similiar to the way they do during parades. I knew there wasn't going to be a parde though because it was only about 10a.m. Little did we know it was the grand opening day of the Rock n' Roller Coaster. Aerosmith came down Sunset Blvd. in a car as everyone began following the car. They made it to the area where the roller coaster is and made a speech conference. (still watch what i recorded of them waving in the car and parts of the speech:) ) Well I went on the ride later and absolutely loved it. Later we sat up front in the Great Movie Ride and the gangster was a really cool person. He talked and joked around with us to make the ride more enjoyable. At night i saw Fantasmic for the first time and was blown out of my mind. It was tremendous. That was probably the most memorable moment i have had at WDW.

Without a doubt our most memorable moment was our first family trip to WDW in November 1992. Our daughter, not quite six at the time was a HUGE Pinnochio fan, EVERYTHING Pinnochio from bedsheets to curtains to pajamas to several stuffed Pinnoch fiends she carried everywhere. Needless to say there was only one character she wanted to see at WDW. We tried to tell her that we could never be sure if we would see Pinnochio, that he wasn't always there. She assured us that Pinnochio would be waiting for us when we got to the Magic Kingdom - that he was waiting for HER to get there.

So ... first day at WDW, arrive at Dixie Landings, check in and head for MK. Daughter is dressed in Pinnoch shirt, hat and clutching her favorite Pinochio doll. We tried to tell her that Pinnochio probably wouldn't be there. Get to the park, walk under the train station and there Pinnochio is, standing right by the station entrance. Pure magic for her. Then on our last day at WDW, one last visit to Epcot and we run into Pinnochio in an almost empty World Showcase. Pinnochio played hide and seek with her for the longest time! Perfect start and perfect ending to a perfect Disney trip.

My most recent trip (April 04) my friends and I were sitting on the curb on Main St, waiting for Spectro to start (and singing Disney Tunes :p ) and there was a little girl next to us crying. I'm not sure what she was upset about, but a CM noticed her. He went over to her, took her by the hand and brought her out in the middle of Main St facing the castle. He handed her a light up magic wand and told her to wave and on the count of 3. 1..2..3.. she waved it and the lights turned off for Spectro to start! She stopped crying after that and just started giggling for the rest of the parade.

even though I didn't know that little girl, and it didn't happen to me..it was so sweet to see Disney's magic work like that :)

I hope my most memorable moment will be on my honeymoon next year, but so far it was the first time I saw spectromagic. I was like ten and my mom had been telling me about it all day and when I finally saw the first float I was mesmorized :dazzle:

My most memorable moment was on splash mountain when i was like 5(id like to say). The whole ride i was anticipating the drop. So finally when we get to it i didnt know it was the big drop and so we get to the top and im like O CRAP! so then i try and look tough in front of my dad but it turned out wrong! When we got to the picture stand my family couldnt help from getting the picture just for my face. We still have it today! When you look at me i look like im just like "wth?"! haha, its such a funny look, cause my hair is all crazy and my face is like leaned to the side with one eye like half winked and my mouth like "what"! its such a funny picture!

It was several things for me. When seeing the sign of "Welcome to WDW," brought tears to my eyes. Arriving at the ASMu resort just make you feel you "finally arrived." Walking down Main Street USA and seeing Cinderella's Castle for the first time made me teary eyed. My cousins use to go to WDW every year and it made me jealous because I would go to DLR every other year. And it just finally made my dreams come true. Being on your honeymoon at the happiest place on earth.

Mine is when my Mom took me for my 12th birthday for a weekend with my cousins and a couple friends. We only spent a weekend, and one day doing all four parks(lol), but it was one of the most "magical" trips I've ever had at Disney World.

My most memorable time at Disney was when I went there for the very first time on my honeymoon. The magic moment to occured on our way into the Magic Kingdom while on the Tram and the music was being piped in was "Wish upon a Star"....I simply just couldnt help but tearing all up. Magic Kingdom has always been and will continue to be the park that Im most sentimental about.

That is so touching! Where DOES WDW find so many genuinely kind ppl to work there?

I'm pretty sure I will always remember standing on the sidewalk on Main Street, watching those dancers sing and dance to the cheesy Main Strees USA song.

The moment I remember the most fondly took place a few years ago. It was a horribly hot & humid day @ the Magic Kingdom. My family & I had gotten in line for Big Thunder & the line was just as long as ever. We noticed peculliar-looking clouds heading our way, but we didn't pay that much attention to them. Anyway, about halfway through line, the clouds covered the sun. Then a little later, the cast members started making announcements that they might close the ride due to the upcoming storm. Just as we were about to get on the ride, they closed it. They said we could either stay & wait out the storm, or leave. We had waited in line too long to just ditch it, and we were practically underground, so we stayed. We were in the area that leads to the loading area where the floor is an an incline, you know? The storm started, & we could see the lamps overhead swaying from the wind & some of us stood on the railing to get a better view. It was fun. We talked & joked. Then once the storm ended about 10 minutes later, the ride started up again & we rode it. Then we noticed that the temparature had dropped 15 degrees & the park had practically cleared out. I tell ya, that storm was a Godsend.
