We go to wdw quite a bit and have had different little things that made our trips extra magical. It's nothing we've ever expected but certainly appreciate when it's happened. We've had a few that come to mind in no particular order...
1. Getting called up on stage during the pirates tutorial.

2. Wearing our anniversary buttons a cm called my husband and I to answer the phone inside the American pavilion in epcot, it was a happy anniversary message from mickey.

3. Granddaughter was made jr. mayor of main st. usa on a birthday trip earlier this year.

4. But the best ever happened after my sister and I took our annual girls only trip in early December 2011. We'd made friends with one of the cm's from thunder mountain and he surprised us with a bunch of the fast passes they give to the cm's that have a date they expire (several days away from the date he gave them to us) and no specific time. Talk about feeling like we'd died and gone to disney heaven!!! We took 2 pics, one next to a pack of cigarettes that we borrowed from some guy at the tambu lounge to have a frame of reference. We still call that our best day ever lol. We rode thunder mountain 35 times in one day and that was with time left to do everything else we wanted that day plus take a break at the lounge at the poly mid day. The cm's said someone riding 30 times in one day was the most they knew of so I tell my granddaughter I'm the only grandmother to ride it 35 times in one day.

So what are some of your most memorable extra magical touches that have happened on your trips?

Just little things that you don't expect to happen such as in 1995 my dad lost his hat on Splash Mountain. Why he didn't take it off is beyond me but he reported it at the end of the night and two weeks later it was mailed to him. It was a John Deere hat, so nothing special, but he liked it. My wife also lost her sunglasses in 2009 at either Tiki Room or Pirates, we weren't sure. It didn't matter, they were mailed back to us. Stuff like that may not be "magical" per se but it was a little extra customer service.

I don't know why, but finding really hard hidden Mickeys are always magical to me. Just little things that aren't supposed to be seen but are in the background. The Mickey lying down on a cloud in the final scene of Splash Mountain..............just really special to see. Mr. Toad at the Pet Semetary in Haunted Mansion is another one. No one really would see that if they weren't looking for it. I just find those things interesting.

Walking into MK and a CM approached us and asked my daughter which was about 8 if she would like to meet Cinderella in private. Well of course she said yes. She the CM took our names and we had to come back to City Hall. When we arrived later that day we were escorted behind the counter and into a beautiful office where Cinderella was behind the desk. She came around the desk and greeted our daughter and we spent about 15 - 20 minutes talking to her and getting pictures. It was quite magical!

Of course being picked for the Jingle Jungle Parade and sitting in the first float with Rafiki was great. It does get to be too much constantly waving for the entire parade, but it was still a magical thing to happen to us.

My Daughter getting picked to light the tree @ the Biergarten during the holidays. They do not do this anymore with kids from the audience. :(

My daughter getting picked to ring the welcome bell to welcome in all the guests @ Cape May Cafe because we were the first dinner seating. Kinda cool, but again they do not do this anymore. :(

My daughter being picked for a celebration @ Crystal Palace. We were again the first dinner seating and we went in before anyone else and met with the Pooh characters. They gave my daughter a brownie and had some sprinkles for her to put on it and she is a little OCD and was neatly place each sprinkle on the brownie. After a few minutes Eeyore got impatient and tossed his bowl of sprinkles at her in a comical manner. It was hysterical!

My daughter was picked to start wishes when we were dining @ California Grill. They have a large switch behind the hostess stand near the elevators and she went over there and they counted to her and she flipped the switch and suddenly the sound came on and boom. It was quite cool and she was super excited to do that. They also gave her a certificate for doing it.

You just never know when something will happen.

Disney has been really helpful finding things that we've lost. Every time we go on Small World we seem to lose an autograph book, and each time the CMs have looked through each boat until finding it for us.
In 2011 we lost our tickets  in a lanyard while riding Space Mountain. We didn't discover that we'd lost them until later, so we went to the Town Hall and reported it. Keep in mind that we didn't even know at the time which ride we had lost our tickets on, so they had to send people out to search all the rides we'd been on. They were so quick about it and they found our tickets within half an hour.

lol...i LOVE the little details especially since we go fairly regularly. there's no real reason for them to go the extra mile with those sorts of things but they do. like on the window of the boardwalk bakery which they just reopened the proprietor is listed on as Hue G. Krazont. Their customer service is one of the big reasons we return often.

1 - Year of a million dreams upgrade from garden view to concierge level at BC upon check-in.

2 - While taking pictures of the family outside POTC by the mast at the corner of the building we were approached by CM Nathan who offered to take a group shot and then asked if we were going on the ride. We responded yes, he motioned for us to follow him and walked us backstage to the front of the line, grabbed a private boat for us and then gave us a personalized tour of the ride....that was five years ago and I still remember his name right off the top of my head. Without a doubt a CM who understands the magic!

On our Honeymoon which was 20 years ago we were checking into the Contemporary, the manager welcomed us and asked why we were visiting. We told him it was our "Disneymoon." Later that evening when we returned to our room there was a a beautiful gift basket with flowers, fruit, chocolate and a couple of nips to toast ourselves.

In 2008, I took my sister and her grandkids ( my great niece and nephew) on their first ever trip. The kids were 6 and 9 and had never been on any kind of vacation. We were able to ride in the front of the monorail, and the pilot let my nephew "drive" the monorail. You should have seen his face. Then at the candy store at the Studios, they are both asked if they would like to make something special, and the CM took them behind the counter and they decorated marshmallows dipped in chocolate. And at Hoop De Doo, my nephew was picked to be the sheriff for the grand finale of the show, and got a very nice photo. All in all, it was a magical trip.

On our honeymoon in 2002. I saw this really cute Minnie Bride pin. The CM told they had a Mickey Groom pin too but not at that location. I spent all day at Epcot checking the pin stands in each country and and FW for the Mickey Groom. No luck. The resort and DTD didn't have it either. The next day we got MK early for a KTTK tour and I saw a CM setting up her pin stand on MS. I went over and she had the pin! I was so excited I told her how I had been working for it all the day before. She was so nice she gifted me the pin and the 3rd pin in the set. Mickey and Minnie cutting a wedding cake.

How in the heck did all of these things happen to your daughter? I mean, that's pretty cool, but it's also like winning the lottery or being struck by lightening twice!

How long ago were some of these things? I've never heard of CM's stopping random guests as they enter the park to see if they want a private MnG. Again, pretty cool if they really do that, but in 25 years I've been oblivious to it.

In 2009 it was our last day :( and we had just checked out of our room at All Star Music. We had gone into the dining room to get some lunch before we boarded the ME to head to the airport. We were sitting at our table with all of our luggage and a worker came out and asked my daughters (age 2 and 8 at that time) if they wanted to be Chef of the Day. Of course they said yes. He came back with a HUGE dish of ice cream and every topping imaginable. He announced to the entire dining room that they were the Chef of the Day. They got their picture taken creating their ice cream sunday. He then put their names on a certificate with a printed copy of their picture. It was pretty cool and a great way to end our vacation. My girls are now 6 and 12 and they still talk about this experience.

We've had a couple take place at our home away from home, WL. On our honeymoon we came back to find some champagne in our room with a card. On one of our anniversary trips we came back to balloons and a card in the room. Nothing really big but we felt so special.

During the Year of a Million Dreams, I received the special fastpass for the Hollywood Studios. We were also picked the same day to welcome everyone to Voyage of the Little Mermaid because the CM saw our anniversary pins. Those little pins have also brought us many congrats from the different CMs in the parks.

On my birthday a few years ago, the cast member at the front of the line for Rockin Rollercoaster let us skip the line and gave us the "front seat" of the car! During the same trip, a cast member saw my birthday button while at downtown disney for my birthday dinner and turned all the TV screens in one area of DTD to say "Happy birthday Aurora!"

We also won the Magic Fastpasses for MK during the year of a million dreams.

Pointed out of the crowd during CADCT by Alice and the Mad Hatter because of my Alice t-shirt.

And at 1900 Park Fare when Alice told me that she remembered seeing me during MSEP. :)

lol...love it! reminds me of when i got my sisters to yell with me "we love you queen" to the evil queen one year during the parade and she bowed to us.
