For the mosaics, they did indeed bring in Morroccan artisans, who purposely put mistakes in the artwork, because they believe that nothing made by humans can be perfect, things that are perfect are made by their god. So the cracked tiles and "mistakes" were put there on purpose!

Did you take the "Hidden Treasures of WSC" tour? Or you had a very good ambassador explainning it to you! The Moroccan pavillion is amazing! :)

It's also the only pavilion that doesn't have little lights outlining the pavilion. Due to religious belief, lights were never placed on the pavilion. Rather, floodlights shine on the building's facade during Illuminations.

There are also no pictures of anything living because only Muhammad is supposed to be able to create life.

I think the name you want is Allah (God). Muhammed is a prophet only. :)

Actually, Morocco is not outlined in lights because it was built after the rest of the showcase was built.

That´s true, but I had also heard that they chose not to outline it and make it part of Illuminations, also for religios reasons.

Actually, its because it was the last built and they didn't do it for cost effective reasons...Thats straight from the GM of Epcots mouth.

I remember going to "EPCOT Center" when I was a kid in 1982 when it first opened and there wasn't a Morocco pavillion. Or Norway, Horrizons, Wonders of Life and The Living Seas for that matter! :) I remember them promoting the upcoming Living Seas and an African pavillion though. I have an old photo book I bought then that I still have somewhere stating all of this. I remember it well.

Norway is another pavillion that doesn't have the little lights outlining the building for Illumination, the reason I don't really know.
