So will the new bakery be in the new building being added out back. With the dining room going in to the Gallery des Halles / Souveniers De France building?

As for Bistro De Paris, how bad are we expecting these changes to be? Disney seems to have updated EVERY dining location in the World Showcase in the last several years. Most all have been positive. This one scares me the most, but hope it turns out as well as the other changes. I hate to see the place turned into another dumbed down WDW park dining location. (look at the total drop in quality of the Brown Derby for example over the years).

I see you've been reading micechat.

Actually, that post on the Parks blog did raise my eyebrows a little bit. They're taking the formal France restaurant and making it less formal... but still two credits. I mean, it's not like you need servers in tuxedos to have a fancy restaurant, but it just seemed strange to me the way they were talking about Bistro de Paris.

On the other hand, the show bakery that will be in the new building will be amazing! They'll be doing the baking for all three restaurants, so that whole area in the back of the pavilion will smell like fresh bread all day!

They are not only redoing bistro de paris but the are making a bigger bakery and the original one will be an ice cream parlor, according to screamscape

Who decides what changes happen to each pavillion? Is it only TDO, or is there any link to the actual countries about the pavillions? (ie: Is there anyone in Morocco who has input as to what the pavillion looks like, what goes in there, etc.?)

It varies from pavilion to pavilion, but in the case of France, all of the restaurants are operated by external vendors. Disney has arrangements with those participants for operating in the park.

Thanks. I just want more shopping back at my Canada pavillion, and I'm not even sure who decides what retail is there or who I should complain to. Guest relations I guess. Or the Canadian government. :)

Does anyone know if the new building is directly connected to the existing gift shop, or if there will be any windows/exterior views, like perhaps even a courtyard? From the first photo it appears that they are maintaining some exterior theming, so I'm hoping there will be something to see on the outside as well as the inside.
