I probably have the same mug you're talking about right next to me now.

I got mine at the disney store near me and its white w/ green inside and on either side it has tigger with his head in his hands and a pink nose. And he looks cute there. But the one pic that's on here w/ the pink nose costume just doesnt look right to me. They should keep his costume nose brown.

Actually, a lot of people do greet the Country Bears when guests see them, even though they don't always get long lines, compared to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip 'n' Dale, Pooh, Tigger, the face characters, etc....and I think that they are high in demand, too, since they come out quite a lot.

Well not to sound mean, but once again you're wrong. Being good friends with 3 of the country bears, I can tell you for a fact they're not in ANY demand. Half the people don't know who they are, and most of the time they're called "The Disney Bears". During X-Mas I was friends with Shaker, and we greeted right outside of the Country Bears Show, and people still didn't know who we were. Trust me they're not in any demand anytime soon.

Oh yeah, and might wanna drop that Maid Marian rumor, not gonna happen anytime soon.

They're not supposed to look like the ones from the parks, that's the point. They're not puppets either, look at the other pictures of them next to actual people, I don't think they'd make puppets that big. Plus I don't think puppets could swing from the tire swing like Tigger is in that one picture.

Most of the characters that are portrayed on television in human/costume for are made to appeal to children more....ratings.

I read a while ago that almost all the characters are on an update road, they are trying to make them show more emotion, but still have to appeal to children (not scare them). it might have been on this forum, or another.

Children are going to be scared no matter what. I've been friends with some very cute and cuddly characters (i.e. Pluto, Flik etc.) and I still have had kids scared of me. If kids are going to be scared, they're going to be scared, it's not the character it's usually the child.

True, but i think they do surveys to try to make things the most appealing to the children.

I understand, that's a good idea too. I know they use children in food surveys (Where do I sign up!?!?), so I wouldn't be surprised if they drew out different ideas for new looks for our furry friends and had the kids pick.
