As for Tick Tock, I remember seeing his autograph on the wall by the Character Zoo, but I had no idea there really was a wandering character. That'd be really cool to see.

Well even if they don't have a costume for each of the characters they have a signature. In case there's a family who came all the way to FL to get an autograph of the character and it doesn't come out anymore they can bring it to the tunnels and copy the signature.

Wouldn't it be great if the new Mr. Smee had the "mother" tattoo on his chest like the movie?? :) Also scuttlebutt has it that King Louie is getting a makeover soon.

You know something, with all these character redesigns and character comebacks that are currently taking place at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland over the past year or so, it seems that they're at least on the road to going back to the standards that they upheld in that department in the past.

And it seems that this is all being done because "The Happiest Celebration on Earth" is taking place at all the Disney parks around the world.

The Genie looks more cartnoonish and i like it. Also the body is different as well and he doesnt look so lumpy. Jiminy is also a great looking costume now as well. Many people often forget that most are cartoons and the costume looses the cartoon affect which I think they are trying to bring back.

Also, has anyone heard anything new regarding the rumored redesigns for Rebecca Cunningham, Maid Marian and the Country Bears (Wendell, Shaker, Big Al and Liver Lips)?

There aren't any, didn't you ask this a couple months ago? :brick:

If you go to the site, those pictures are totally different. They look nothing like the parks costumes..totally different. I am quite confused by this. Maybe in this show, the characters are puppets. That's what I am thinking.
Maybe the show suits are designed to be more functional than the park suits. :)

Here's some Power Ranger news for 'yall. Around February they will be getting rid of the Time Force Pink Ranger, and I believe the SPD Red Ranger and bringing in the new Mystic Force Pink Ranger (Looks really cool, you can do a google search to find a picture) AND from what I was told yesterday....*drum roll* THE MIGHTY MORPHIN RED RANGER! Yeah, totally old school but I think it's a great idea. Now mind you this is just what I HEARD. Not 100% positive, but if it's true, that would be so awesome!
Am I the only one who thinks the Power Rangers don't belong? I know Disney bought the rights to them but to me they just don't go with the rest of the characters. When I see them, I don't think Disney. I think more 6 Flags. When I think of Disney characters, I'm thinking the larger than life characters, aside from the Green Army Men. Maybe it's just me...
Nice look for Jiminy. The costumes get better and better. Hehe, remember how the old suits used to look? :sohappy:

I agree. I think Power Rangers have a lot less appeal for a lot of the population. They are weird like all those Playhouse Disney characters. It's like Bizarro World Disney. Maybe you have to be a kid to appreciate them.

Louie could really use a facelift. I hope they do something about his arms.

As for Smee, I don't really think he needs any change.

What I mean by the could be puppets...Is that there controlled by the performer inside by moving the mouth, using there hands. Just in my opinion they should look a little like the parks costumes..except for Eeyore since this is a show.

By the way BigNorm, the new Smee costume is not out yet..also there is no picture.

The Ent. dept has always done a decent job in my opinion. They are given a budget just like any other dept and they have to do the best with the money they are given.

On the topic of makeovers DisPhilip, there are several characters that could use them including the Country Bears, but they are not the most in demand character or a "HOT" item with most guests. I would love to see Maid Marian and other characters get a new look, but lets be thankful for the characters that are out and getting a new look like Jiminy, Genie, and Smee. CM's may just be shooting the breeze with you too, DisPhilip. I'm not saying that the rumors aren't true, but alot of them like to mess with guests.

I'll take what I can get and I'm thankful just to meet any Disney character.
That's my take on this subject

Actually, a lot of people do greet the Country Bears when guests see them, even though they don't always get long lines, compared to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip 'n' Dale, Pooh, Tigger, the face characters, etc....and I think that they are high in demand, too, since they come out quite a lot.

I'm not saying that guests dont like the Country Bears, I just doubt that many go right looking for them.
