How many people think they were the first ones to come up with a rollercoaster ride based on the "door scene" from Monsters, Inc.?

Funny you should say that. There is a long running rumor that Disney's California Adventure (DCA) is getting a Monsters Inc. attraction to open in early 2006. A week ago, this rumor was somewhat substantiated when, immediately after the completion of DL's new Buzz ride, construction walls went up around a shuttered dark-ride attraction in DCA called "Superstar Limo." The rumor is that the ride will be a C-ticket family dark ride that uses the former "Limo" track already in place (fastened to the the floor just like Snow White ride in Fantasyland) and former '"Limo" ride vehicles with a Monsters Inc. overlay. No details on the content of the ride has been leaked as of yet. But, If DCA's Monsters Inc. ride comes to fruition (which is quite possible) and is successful, maybe we'll see something similar or better at Disneyworld.

Ride Ideas...

I think its a great idea. I want Disney to make the next PotC or Haunted Mansion. Not just another rollercoaster to keep up with Six Flags or IoA.

I've been to many parks, I USED to be an avid roller coaster rider, but I believe that (as I have aged and I'm only in my 40's) finding a ride that everyone can ride and make it 'thrilling' yet not over powering to the elderly or the really young is key- something for all to enjoy. The idea of creating a ride based upon a Disney movie is good and key to marketing for the Disney company...keeping a theme is central. Thus my thought, hopefully in the traditional Disney style would be to have a theme-based ride using the latest technology like that used in Spiderman (pardon stealing the idea)...but combining the path ride experience with Animatronics, laser technology, NO 3D (hate the glasses thing), sound technology, and sensory like those used in Bug's Life attraction. Basically, a combination of newer ride technologies, sensory perceptions, and animatronics theming. The Monsters Inc door ride would be a good one for this idea. Perhaps visit each of the 'Disney characters' in their bedrooms!

Just my 2cents...humble opinion as it may be.

Yea thats great i dont care if you invtented posted notes this is a good idea i didnt ask whether you invented it.

I like all these ideas but the best idea for a roller coaster would be in the 20k area and it would be themed on The Phantom Blot !!! it would be dark and FAST i can just imagine it :):):)

My beliefs haven't changed (although the concept looks cool)

IP now, synergy then. The beast changes its name, but not its face.
At 15 I didn’t agree with you - at 34 I 100% agree with you lol. The post was meant in jest because unfortunately we only get IP
