If going in that direction....why not an EAC (East Atlantic Current) themed rollercoaster from Finding Nemo. An under water themed coaster could be cool. And you could ride on Crush. :)

Walt Disney Studios is getting a nemo coaster with turtle themed cars.

No more rollercoasters! People complain that Disney is not originally but yet they want more rollercoasters? They should be coming up with new and different rides rather than just wrapping a theme around the same old old technology.

Other than EE and RR does disney have any coasters? SM is 28 mph. I think its a cool idea and it doesn't have to be a batman type ride. just some "sharp turns and sudden drops.

I think its a great idea. I want Disney to make the next PotC or Haunted Mansion. Not just another rollercoaster to keep up with Six Flags or IoA.

Or how about an Aladin ride or a Little Mermaid ride or a Emperor's New Groove ride or a new 20K ride. You know Disney Characters.
Remember them?

An Aladdin ride would be awesome! I think The Little Mermaid is better suited for a stage show like they already have at MGM. Also, as much as I love The Emperor's New Groove, I dont think it is strong enough to have a ride of its own. How about an animatronic/dark ride montage of all the movies from 1980 til present.

Oh, The Incredibles and Monsters Inc are Disney characters in the same vein that Aladdin and The Little Mermaid are. Disney didn't invent those characters either.

But, I would love to see a ride with actual Disney invented characters that had Mickey Mouse and the crew that wasn't a 3-d movie.

How many people think they were the first ones to come up with a rollercoaster ride based on the "door scene" from Monsters, Inc.? You know I invented Post-It Notes, except someone else beat me to it. White Out too.

I agree, I was just being literal. Disney Movies vs Pixar Movies.
I guess I am just getting sick of all the Pixar attractions when there are other great characters to draw upon. Lion King, Jungle Book at DAK? How about an updated Toad's Wild ride with Cruella from 101D and that insane car of hers?
An actual Aladin Carpet ride instead of that stupid spinner thing or The Magic Lamp Theatre from TDS? Or Sinbad from TDS? Or JTTCOTE?

I'm not sure if you've seen this or not but here is the Little Mermaid ride that was to be built for DLP plus a bunch of other great (non Pixar) rides that never made off the drawing board:

There was a Mickey Mouse ride idea that someone came up with in these boards (Grizz I think). It would start off in Black and White with Steam Boat Willie and gradually change to color as the ride went on.

Look I don't hate Pixar. I thought the Incredibles was one of the best movies I saw last year. I just want them to mix it up a bit in the parks.

Oh and ENG is a very underated movie! :D

I concur with all your statements. The Mickey Mouse rides sounds like a great idea. My question is, if was all started by a mouse, then where is his attraction? Philpharmagic doesn't cut it. He's in it for like 10 seconds. While I like the movie and think it was well done, putting Mickey's name on it is kinda of silly.

I also think the "mountain theme" is getting a little played out too. Is it a rule if you build a large ride at WDW its setting must be in a mountain?

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. People who go to WDW are there for a different reason. You can get the Six Flags stuff at home (I never go to the Six Flags that is 30 minutes away from my house, just not my kind of entertainment. I wish Disney was so close by). I would love to see something more on the lines of PotC or HM.

I would love to see an attraction with Mickey Mouse in it. Hadn't really thought about it 'til now but where is he?!

My idea was to use the concept for a movie that never got made. Was ment to be an animated movie where Mickey was 'mouse-napped'. A whole bunch of characters, at least one from each animated classic, would have a part in it and help Basil of Baker Street find the main man! I think using animatronics and flat characters this would be ideal for the former 20k site. You could ride in a ride vehicle similar to Peter Pan where you start off on the ground thinking your car is running on the ground and then you meet the Genie and Aladdin, and with a bit of magic your flying! You could pass Dumbo, Would be a chance to have an attraction the includes the many charcters not already with their own attraction; Aladdin, Atlantis, Emperors, Basil, Hercules, Robin Hood, and of course Mickey and the gang!

Just my idea!

EXACTLY! I guess if you want to get technical about it there is Fantasmic & The old Mickey Mouse Revue. But I know what you mean.
Where is an actual Mickey Mouse ride since Philharmagic is a Donald Ride/Movie. Where is "One Mouse's Dream" (OK that was pretty bad). :lookaroun

About too many Mountain's I agree they get overwhelming but the way it was once explained to me was that how else can they hide the showbuilding. You can have a mountain or a large themed building. Not a lot of options.
Besides I really want to see Mysterious Island from TDS come stateside. :D

That's what would be cool about a Monsters Inc. Ride (doesnt have to be a rollercoaster). You wouldn't have to hide the building. You could make it look like the scare floor!
