My understanding is it's a much more short-term thing. Think about what they could throw into a park with just a few months of planning, that doesn't involve major construction or WDI.
I recall the thrown together celebration of Frozen when it became a much bigger hit than expected. Which turned out to be extremely popular and resulted in a permanent attraction.

Is it something along those lines that is being thrown together? Although I'm not sure what IP it would be.

Also, i think it's wise to try to remove emotion when looking at decisions. Because you end up with blinders on to what the situation actually is. This decision is a bigger net positive for the park than anything they have done in years in florida. Even if it makes me sad.
I fully agree. Even with my emotions for Muppet*Vision here, I still think this is a great move and Monstropolis looks great in that new concept art.

Agree. So something new should be coming to Tomrrowland in that case. Of coruse, they still haven't filled the Stitch space in Tomorrowland.
I'm gonna just throw out there that I would not be suprised to see Big Hero 6 make it's way into Tomorrowland in multiple ways. I think that whole land will be redone. In conjunction with Disneyland's.

Im for this change. Muppets land was stale and I welcome a monsters Inc overlay/expansion. Giving Monsters Inc an entire land is a good move vs 1 ride imo. Putting Muppets into RnRc is cool too imo, I always like the muppets mayhem concept art from years ago, now I wish theys move Muppets 3d theater to where the villains show is gonna go to make it a more rounded area...they probably will I think. Also i like sushi and look forward to sushi in the park

Yeah the Zootopia thing seems like the easiest "it's already somewhere else and pretty good and popular so let's just plop it here" option.

I like the idea of Incredibles, but I feel like that would just be another roller coaster and with the addition of the Monsters Inc. one I don't really think we need more in this park, but maybe they want to go full steam ahead with *Universal teen crowd* competitor with Hollywood Studios and let it rip with those type of rides. In addition to the eventual roller coaster expansion to Galaxies Edge that I'm sure is coming hah!
I think Incredibles could make a very fun dark-ride. I actually think a ride system like the Spiderman one at Islands of Adventure would be perfect. But I digress.

EPCOT could hot a fantastic Imagineering Pavilion... One Man's Dream, Walt Disney Story, Carousel Of Progress and even Small World could be all part of this Miniland celebration of the art and genius of Walt Disney and the Imagineers...then they could use those other locations for more gift shops, meet and greets, and completely inappropriate IP shoehorned in wherever they is an empty space... But the true Disney exhibit could be saved along with Carousel of Progress and Small World...

Moana or Lilo & Stitch would be relevant options next summer.

I watch all of his videos and am a fan and this was a big letdown. He was **absolutely sure** and assured his audiences that his sources were ironclad and this was 100 percent going into Animation Courtyard and I believed him. He probably should have hedged a bit.

And to be clear, I don't think he's a shill, and I agreed with his Tiana's reviews, and generally agree with most of what he produces. This was just surprising because, again, he was just so sure.

I am 100% sure that Disney occasionally does "canary in a coalmine" tests to find who's leaking stuff. This could be that.

I think the Incredibles is a great IP for a couple attractions...I would just not want to see it in the Spiderman ride system...being that they are superheroes fighting crime...it would be way too similar....

Didn’t Disney say it’s a “new” show? That’d rule out MILF moving. Of course, there’s no need for two MI shows and a ride, so even with a new show, I’d expect MILF to retire. She’s past her prime anyway. Ain’t no one ridden than since 2017.
The show component is honestly what confuses me the most about this project. I’m happy to be proven wrong, but I have a really difficult time thinking of a compelling show, based on this property, that would provide a significant draw/boost capacity beyond what Muppets would still be able to do with increased foot traffic going past it (which I’d argue the same for with the Dino conversion). Especially with the marketing that (barring this show being out of left field impressive) will likely not even be remotely focused on the show, instead highlighting the coaster and land as a whole.

With how standalone the theater is in these plans, it feels like they really could have done everything except the show swap, save themselves some money, and placate fans.

I completely agree! But, will Disney is the question, and I feel like they see the Incredibles IP as a "coaster thing" in the parks. I hope I am wrong, because a killer E ticket dark ride to Incredibles with all the characters and villains would be so much fun

I apologize for my laziness, but we're at 290 pages. Can someone sum up what else they plan to have in Monsters Inc. Land besides a roller coaster?

I support this.
I like The Muppets, and Muppet theater - yet at the same time never really felt that they belonged in a Disney Park.
Monsters Inc., yeah that fits Hollywood Studios very well.
Oops, posted without reading the whole article.
I really don't care for The Muppets taking over RnR.
I'm sure it'll be fun but... eh.

How many kids even know who the Electric Mayhem Band even are? This is targeted at adults who have nostalgia for the muppets.
No kids know who Aerosmith is either. This is essentially a lateral move to something with more relevance to ppl on a Disney Vacation and a better merchandising opportunity.

It's a cheap retheme for probably a fairly big boost to interest in the ride. It makes sense on paper. It's just not a bombastic expensive retheme. It's kinda refreshing to see them do this
