Here's a look at the new concept art for Monsters, Inc. land:

You're far away from home, aren't you Laugh Floor?

Muppet Rock n Roller coaster sounds so dull and lame. I get some people out there love the Muppets but that's a bad overlay for a thrill ride. Very disappointed.

I also feel the muppets are 30 years passed their popularity.

Aerosmith or any classic rock band (or mix of them) would be much better.
I disagree. The RnR theme was so tired. I am up for almost any new theme.

It's great to finally be able to talk about this.

I love the overlay idea. I ended up talking to some entertainment lawyers last month about how it might all work. Like, who actually owns the songs performed on The Muppet Show 40 years ago? Does anyone really know? Will Disney just re-record stuff with The Muppets?

This is stupid. Oh well, one step closer to not buying parkhoppers since we’ll only be hitting 2 parks now, and I doubt we’ll plan a trip after we use this set of tickets to say bye to Hollywood Studios.

Edited to add: our vacay time and money will be solely spent seeing bands again, instead. I feel like I’m in my twenties again!

This is really disappointing. It feels like they really are killing off nostalgia for no reason. I get the need to update, but this isn't the way in a park that desperately needs capacity. I was legitimately planning on renewing my pass today. Paying $450 to basically just go to Epcot on weeknights to spend even more money is getting really, really hard to justify. I'm sure there is an audience for this - but I'm not sure who it is. This feels like "committee think" again. "They like Muppets. Kill two birds with one stone. They'll love it, right??"

And to @lentesta 's point - I don't hate the Muppets redo of RnRC. That could be really fun. I just don't like having to trade one for the other. We have Star Tours, Galaxy's Edge and Launch Bay all in one park. So, any argument that you can't have Muppets in two spots fall flat for me.

The release for this states Monsters Inc is also getting an all NEW show. That's cool :).

Very excited on how this keeps Muppets at the parks, and Monsters gets some neat stuff. Also happy Disney is dedicated to preserving Muppetvision.

Them keeping the show+adding a coaster means a capacity expansion here.

I guess this means this will be a win-win for those who love Muppetvision 3-D.

As it was yes, it was unupdated since the 90s minus some posters in the lobbies. Now it's going to be themed to 1970s muppets. For an adults only ride.

Sorry but puppets and thrill rides don't stir up an image of excitement to me. You can't even have jokes in ride as you're going by so fast.

I'm going to guess, the ride starts with you like Gonzo shooting out of a cannon.
