I'm not a fan of the office building that comes out of Everest. You can see parts of this from the parking lot and the drive to Animal Kingdom, and it's bothered me since the ride opened.

While I agree it was bad when it opened, when this photo was taken - they have improved it, and they spent money to do it. They at least acknowledged it looked bad from guest areas and tried to fix it.

Which is the point… they used to care a bit more.
What’s RSR
Radiator Springs Racers - which is completely exposed from the back and that is very visible from outside the park.

Disney - stop exposing your backside!!! Literally and figuratively haha.

Come on, MK is not a half day park and its attendance records speak on that. It is the park that most people will hit up 2x in their vacation.

And its nighttime show has always been the standard back from Wishes to HEA.
I think it's numbers speak to it being the icon of the resort. A resort which was built to appeal moreso to tourists than previous models.

And Epcot was always made to speak to a more mature demographic. What are people more likely to enjoy; the heart or the mind? Of course they prefer the park with actual Disney characters and fairy tale lands. We all know nobody was choosing MGM. That park has always been the problem child. Maybe it will become a number two, but that's only because Disney is muddying Epcot bit by bit.

But that's why Magic Kingdom is #1.
It is a great park if you have a 10 year old. It's the best oriented park at the resort, in terms of theme. It's the park that becomes synonymous with the name of the resort.

But being the best isn't the same as being perfect. There are always things that be improved upon. And for Magic Kingdom, 3-4 new Fantasyland-style dark rides and 3 new E-Tickets would make it a park that appeals to me; a non 10-year- old tourist. A park which would keep me there all day instead of 4-7 hours.

But growing up with Disneyland as a full day park, MK very much feels like a half day park. I went with a first time visitor in late Summer and by 1 PM we had done just about everything. True, Big Thunder was down for maintenance and Tron wasn't open by our visit, but we did just about everything else. Including the Belle storytelling experience and the clones of Disneyland attractions. 4 hours to complete the park. Another 2-3 to re-ride the top attractions. 6-7 hours does not a full day park make.
Any age can enjoy Jungle cruise, Tiki room, pirates, Big thunder, CBJ, Haunted mansion, HOP, Mine Train, Phillarmagic, Pooh, Astro orbitor, Space Mt, COP, Peoplemover, Tron, Buzz, Main street vehicles, the train

Any age can enjoy those attractions. I think many are missing the point. If you are more into thrills or with children, you're more likely to skip things like Dumbo, Flying Carpets, the Carousel and Tea Cups.

Yea the most visited theme park in the world is mostly a 10 minute park. I typically spend more time at Joffries in EPCOT, better vibes imo.

Just my opinion.

For most MK is a full day park. For that poster MK is a half day park cause he doesn't ride a lot of the Fantasyland rides.

A good comparison would be a person who isn't into coasters or big thrills going to a Six Flags park. They will find that park a 1/2 day park at best as they don't ride most of the attractions there.

Main Street Vehicles are still a thing? I have not seen them operating on Main Street in years except for entertainment. You used to be able to take a double decker bus, a horse drawn trolley, a fire truck... but I think all of those are footnotes now...back from when it was an A ticket....
Then we lost the Swan Boats, The Skyway...and the Mike Fink Keelboats and Canoes...Followed by the 20k Submarines...
The next chapter will be the Rafts to Tom Sawyer's Island and the Riverboat. That is a lot of attraction transportation to completely lose in a theme park...

They still come out for little bits of time. Rode one last year.

This photo was taken from the Coronado Springs tower relatively recently. What did they do to improve it?
oh…. Maybe it still looks that bad from Coronado - I thought that was an old photo.

When it opened the views from DAK parking lot and the over pass on the road to AKL were terrible - they added some foliage to hide it and they also painted it with some designs to make it look better from a distance.

Still was a mistake to not just build the thing full 360 of course.

Main Street Vehicles are still out, usually for a short time right at park opening.

In the past year I’ve ridden Main Street vehicles at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Paris. Disneyland operates the most, and for the longest schedule. But they all still operate.

Once Main Street gets crowded, it isn't safe for them to be out...because people are oblivious morons.
I’ve seen them operating when the parks were completely packed and didn’t see anything dangerous - when it’s extra crowded an extra CM will often walk ahead of the horse trolleys to help clear the path but I think that’s mostly so the horse doesn’t have to start and stop the trolley (starting the trolley is when the horse actually has to work…)
